I would selfishly prefer not to write a review so as to keep this little gem a secret, but that wouldn't be fair to the people who run this place. It is located about a block away from the main drag on Coronado island and about 2-3 blocks from the beach. The main street has many restaurants, a Walgreens, and Vons, etc. The Lodge is tucked away from the busy-ness of the surroundings, but just close enough if you crave some action. At night, it would take a pair of sharp eyes to differentiate the lodge from one of the nice houses in the neighborhood.
The people there are very very friendly. There is a small garage underground, and parking is FREE! The nearby hotel Del Coronado charges about $37 per day. There is hot entree for breakfast along with pastry, eggs, bread, cereal and yogurt. There is a small fountain in the middle of the property and you can sit nearby to have your breakfast and enjoy the morning sun. Perfect!
Our room was one of the downstairs rooms with a nice tub, king bed, sofa, etc. Very clean and very well-furnished. We had our 14-month old with us, and they provided a nice wooden crib with Winnie the Pooh blankets (not the usual pack-and-play).
My wife and I will definitely be back soon, and without our little one. We only stayed a couple nights and felt like we short-changed ourselves. We went to the San Diego Zoo, which was only about a 10 minute drive.
We can't say enough good things about this place!

We stayed in a studio and we were more than happy with the size and facilities of the room. Tastefully decorated and from our room we could see the sea! We were also on the 3rd floor which is where the rooftop bbq, jacuzzi was.
Overall we loved the friendliness of this hotel and there are many good restaurants nearby to choose from.

the room you booked me into was back to back with the ice machine, opening the door and window gave a view of the stairs and a blank wall. the staff located us to pool view, and street view. we were happy to loose one bed and the noise for comfort. more research should go into what you sell !

Loved this clean happy pink roses and bright lights, looked very inviting. Only 10 beds...I was given a room close to back and it was quiet.
My room was small and quaint with ceiling fans, TV with great channels, microwave, refrigerator. The bed was comfortable...double bed due to small room, but worked good for me and I slept well. The shower was small but great pulsating shower head and good water pressure, I had no issue with size it met my need just fine.
I would suggest maybe a fold up small table that one could use while sitting on the bed to work on the computer or eating while watching TV.
There is a nice tables and sitting area out front which when it was not dark in enjoyed working on my computer there as the weather was gorgeous.
Parking in back worked great too.
Irene the honor was so gracious and anything I suggested or asked for was done. I would definitely stay here again!

Glorietta Bay Inn is located on the Southern end of Coronado and within walking distance to many restaurants, beaches and theaters. Once we parked, we never moved our car. The staff is extremely nice and very helpful. Very good breakfast in the morning and a bottle of wine to welcome us. Definitely going to stay there again.
