Room smelled moldy

Posted Apr 2, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Knock it down and start all over.Judy
The hotel was across from a marina and the view was lovely. Nothing else good to say about this experience. If it wasn't so late I would have asked for a refund! Room smelled moldy. Sheets stained. Drapes were missing hooks and partially dangling. "continental breakfast' was cold cereal, bread---to toast or not---milk for cereal and for coffee. Terrible experience.

Nice hotel close to convention center

Posted Mar 29, 2014
Pros: Area
Cons: The hotel door needs painting. Due to the salt air, the hotel paint is peeling.
Location: The beach is right across and the convention center close by.
I chose this hotel due to it being close to the convention center and the price was not bad. It's an older hotel but it was clean and the a/c in the room was cold.

out dated hotel

Posted Mar 18, 2014
Pros: the location only
Cons: I already put my comments above
Location: I already put my comments above
the location is great! but the hotel is very out dated although it was very clean needs to be up dated in a major way, needs bedding, more pillows, the price was to high, higher than a hotel we stayed the day before in Eagle Pass and the hotel at Eagle Pass was great it looked very new still, very clean and up to date with all the accomadations, I would not recommend to my friends and I will not book again

clean rooms and pool, out of date technology

Posted Mar 17, 2014
Pros: Clean pool, location to the beach, and other hotels
Cons: Technology accessibility
Location: go to the beach visit the American Bank Center
My students and myself just needed a quiet place to sleep that was close to our meeting. The hotel provided that comfort.

Location, location, location

Posted Mar 14, 2014
Pros: Price and location :)
Cons: Wildly in need of updating, probably cost-prohibitive due to the extent of renovation necessary.
Location: None better. Close: Lexington, Tx St Aquarium, Museum of Nat History, Art Museum, Corpus beach front; mall and N. Padre w/ in hours drive
I would recommend this hotel, but only based on price and location - which is what I selected it for. Price is the only affordable hotel on beachfront in Corpus. Location is unbeatable. In the smack dab center of downtown Corpus. Otherwise: the hotel is old and obviously un-updated since, oh, say, the 1970s. Run by a nice little old couple. But amenities are sub-standard, & my room was musty.

Very Dirty

Posted Mar 13, 2014
Pros: The only thing I liked about it was that it is within walking distance to the ocean.
Cons: The rooms could be kept cleaner, the ac/heat & rr vent could be fixed, and comfy clean bed. I would not have minded if room was clean.
Location: The location is situated by the ocean and many dining options. It is also located directly next to another hotel that would be a better option.
I would not stay here again. The room smelled, had no working heat or air conditioning, restroom vent was broken, the air filter was filthy (although the ac was broken), the floors were so filthy we wore shoes all the time (even in the shower and restroom), the curtains were broken on one side and we had to figure out a way to secure them on our own so no one could see in, all of the furniture was dusty and dirty (I cleaned them myself and three white cloths were blackened from the dust and grime I cleaned off of the headboard, dresser, tables, and nightstand, the top blanket of the betting was dirty and had cigarette holes in them, the bed was very uncomfortable and you could feel the springs, the pictures on the wall had mold or mildew growing between the glass, and the room smelled very dank. It was overall the worst hotel stay I have ever had. My family and I were very uncomfortable staying there and we had to be there for three nights. Also, it gets very loud at night; we were woken up several times at 2am-4am with people yelling outside. I do not advise anyone for any reason staying here.

Very convenient location

Posted Feb 19, 2014
Pros: Perfect location next to the marina and near many attractions. Great customer service.
Cons: Some remodeling is in order.
Location: Across from the marina, the Selena memorial statue, sightseeing boats, many excellent restaurants and bars nearby.
Very convenient location, the staff are very friendly and helpful. I have stayed there many times in the past 2 years and I am always satisfied. I am always able to ask for the particular room that I want and I always receive it.

Dissapointing

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Cons: They need to have heat available. They need to add a few things to their breakfast. They need at least some juice and bagels or waffles.
Location: If you're going bar hopping, this hotel is within good distance to those kinds of activities. Also near the water.
Never going back. If you go when its cold (my case), the heater does not work. It says it has to be under 55 degrees outside for it to work but that's not true. It was 45 degrees when I was there and it did not work. The following night when I complained they told me that the owners didn't think it was cold enough to turn on the broiler and handed me a miniature portable heater. Breakfast was disappointing as well. All the had was cereal, regular toast, and coffee. The juice machine didn't have any juice.
