Days inn rock portPosted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: perfect location for the beach, and fishing places
Cons: even though it is an old hotel, there are broken things that could be fixed, like the AC units, and bathroom windows, that could give the hotel a bet
Location: the beach is across the street. very convenient location, near the fast food restaurants, gas station, HEB, and pharmacy. very close to the shops
Old hotel, but the room was clean enough. not elevators, wifi, flat TV. The AC did not work very well

Well worn econo motel with nice locationPosted May 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
If your stay is not about the room then this is the place for you. Price is right. Puts you smack dab in the middle of town. Sheetrock texture falling off the wall in the bathroom. Massive air gap under the door to the room made the doors bang when hit by the wind outside. Sounded like someone was trying our door to get in all night long. Creeped us out.

hard to pull lugage to 3rd floorPosted May 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
There was no elevator. It was very difficult for 2 elderly women to drag luggage up 3 flights of stairs. The manager did not seem concerned, nor did he offer any assistance.. I will not stay there again.

Close to beachPosted Mar 25, 2014
Pros: Convenient location during our travels, fair price.
Cons: I think the owners are doing what they can based on the age of the structure.
Location: Right across the street from a nice, sandy beach.
Very friendly and accommodating owners/staff. Reasonable place to stay if you're on the move. Room was clean and comfortable, but a bit dated. Everything worked fine. Breakfast was in a very small area, but the food provided was good, and was the same as anywhere else we've stayed that costs more. Overall I rate this place satisfactory - just fine, but not great.
Don't stay here....Posted Mar 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
Don't let the looks of the outside fool you. This is a very low end hotel to stay in. Even our golden retriever was uncomfortable. The room was small. The dead give away was no chain on the door. A pole in the ok'd aluminum window to jeep the window from being opened. The breakfast area is three foot by four foot or so. Find another hotel please,

No WiFi, even though it was stated as free WiFi available. Web site placed me in a Smoking room even though I specifically requested a non-smoking room. Additionally the room was noisy as you could hear the shower next door as if it was in the same room. Thanks...you lost my business permanently.

Nice location. Not as good as most Day Inn.Posted Mar 2, 2014
Cons: All outside doors seemed in need or repair. My room had daylight under door. Sink had rust stains and plumbing under sink was very dirty
Location: Pleasant town. Good fishing. Local guide was interesting.
Good value but probably not as good as most Days Inn.
