Nice hotel for those on a budget

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: The price and location.
Location: Rockport beach nearby. Corpus Christi is only 30 minutes away.
Being on a budget for a couple of days of fun in the sun, I chose this hotel for the price and location. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel grounds were nice, the rooms were clean & the free breakfast was wonderful & tasty. We did not have time to enjoy the pool but the area was nice & the water was clean & clear. There were a few families enjoying the pool & using the BBQ pit and tables that are available. My family had a wonderful outing and experience.

Good location

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: They have hot breakfast. And the staff was friendly.
Cons: The entire place have to be renovated.
Location: They have the beach, and you can go fishing at the piers. There are other attractions in the area around Corpus Christi and Port Arkansas.
Old building, we were given an in leaned room, after waiting 17 minutes at the front desk, I had to go back and claim a new room. Second was clean, ... Mostly. The carpet was old and smelled, some of the outlets in the room were not working, the free wi-fi was slow. the rest was ok.

Decent hotel, close to Fulton & Rockport Beach

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: clean rooms, comfortable beds, pleasant staff (for the most part)
Cons: breakfast menu, staff members serving should be increased; should monitor guests with pets to prevent unpleasant smells while sitting outside/or pool
Location: good location, very close to Fulton & Rockport; you get the best of both; many restaurants and shops to visit
Overall it was a pleasant stay. The staff, hotel, room and service were good (my hubby lost the breakfast voucher we were given "piece of paper", I requested another from the woman at the front desk & was given a hard time but then provided another, after you have to be firm with them). The breakfast is 6am-9am, you are limited to ordering 3 items off the menu they write on a chalk board; there are only 2 ladies making breakfast for the entire hotel guest. The pool is not big, but my children highly enjoyed it; the hotel has nice big trees, plants, benches, bbq area which compensated the size of the pool. However, smoking is allowed outside the hotel rooms & around the areas mentioned above, the smell was awful, we had to leave the pool. Also, pets are allowed for a fee; people dont pick up after them which created disgusting smells to drift your way since it was nice and breezy out. The inside of the hotel & rooms were clean and tended to by the staff.

Nice for the price family vacation

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Location was close to all activities, clean rooms, nice staff.
Cons: Parking Lot could use repairs.
Location: Location was close to all activities, Swimming, Beach, Fishing, and very close to Corpus Christie.
I booked 3 rooms for my family where we spend this years summer vacation. Check in is at 3pm all rooms were not ready. Rooms were clean and seem to be kept up. No HBO which they advertises they have. Parking lot could use repairs. Breakfast was great with very nice staff. grand children really enjoyed the swimming pool. Over all worth the price along with the AARP Discount. Quick Family Vacation

Posted Jul 11, 2015
We had a great time in the area at the beach. The hotel had some recent water damage so our bathroom was musty. An insurance guy came to take pictures while we where in our room so they are fixing it. The breakfast is awesome aND free. Hot and fresh made to ordet at a griddle.

This was a mini vacation - close to everything, walking distance from the water, pleasant atmosphere, great breakfasts, we would stay here again.

Good price, convenient location.

The room never lost its musty smell. It seemed clean enough on the surface - no visible dirt, no bugs. But I did find a dirty diaper under the bed, while looking to see if we had forgotten anything. Bed was comfy. Decor and style are plain, but fine. Extra towels were readily provided. Desk staff was very pleasant. Wi fi was substandard, even in the lobby. The free sangria in the lobby was pretty good. Loved the idea of the hot breakfast, but was very disappointed to witness the kitchen help handling people's food with her bare hands.

OK hotel in Rockport/Fulton.

Posted May 28, 2015
Pros: Cook-to-order breakfast by a live person. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice grounds.
Cons: Update rooms. My room was partially updated (carpet/paint), but the bath really could benefit from a makeover. Difficult to get on Wi-Fi and slow.
Location: Did not really get a chance to tour around, but it seemed close to all the main area features.
Stayed there for 6 nights to visit family. I made a reservation the day before arrival and the rate was the best among the Expedia available listings. The room was dated, but very comfortable (bed, seating, etc.). The room had a king bed, loveseat sofa, nice chair, large desk/office chair. It was more spacious than I was expecting. My room (409) had an adjoining room that did not stop noise very well. Fortunately the people next door went to bed early, so it stayed quiet after that.
