Nice hotel for a short getaway weekendPosted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: The price, the cleanliness, and the breakfast.
Cons: The bathrooms might need renovations, but it doesn't seem to be urgent. Also the driveways around the rooms is a little uneven.
Location: Rockport is a really cute little town. Best to go swimming in Port Aransas, but in Rockport, check out the Shell Shoppe, and Big Tree on Good Island.
When we got to the hotel, they were having technical difficulties with their computers and a cleaning person had apparently quit right before all the rooms were supposed to have been cleaned, so the staff was a little frazzled trying to keep everything together. With that said, they did their best for us and we really appreciated it, considering the strain they were under. The rooms are clean and decent, the bathroom was a little old-looking, but still clean. The complimentary hot breakfast in the morning was fantastic.

Nice Low Cost OptionPosted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
Stayed for two nights. The hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. The rooms appeared to have been updated with carpet and sink top. This is a low cost option in the area so my ratings/comments are based on that understanding. Last time I stayed at the Days Inn next to the beach and I will not stay there again. This was a better option although its a bit further down 35, near Fulton Beach Rd.

Tired and old.Posted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: Lobby staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Room condition. Landscaping and parking appearance. All facilities need major remodeling.
Location: Near Rockport and Fulton Harbor. Good restaurants within several miles.
Room needed major upgrade. Wall-to-wall carpet had large wrinkles. Bathroom fan rattled loudly. Holes in bedspread. Mildew and hair on shower curtain. Holes in concrete parking pavement. Landscaping was mostly weeds. Beer cans and smelly shrimp garbage in garden area.

Nice Hotel by the BeachPosted Aug 20, 2013
Pros: Hotel staff were very friendly and the free breakfast did not disappoint. A AC worked very well in the room.
Cons: The exterior infrastructure has cigarette butts all over the grounds, staircases, and parking lot. A concerted effort to clean exterior is needed
Location: Rockport beach is very nice and accommodating for families with small children
Hotel room was clean and quiet. Location made it easy to get to shopping, the beach, and Port Aransas

Not badPosted Aug 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
Considering this hotel is pretty close to the street, it was actually pretty quiet. It is very close to the beach and the restaurants. It's not a very nice hotel, but it's not bad either. They allow pets so it gets a 5 star rating from our dog. Good place to stay if you want to take your spoiled rotten dog to the beach.

HotPosted Aug 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
The air conditioner in the room was not very good. It stayed hot in there the whole time. We had to go and buy a fan.

hotel needs maintenance. the pool is showing its age. lobby is blah, and a little paint with some cheap labor would go a long way. the hotels construction and buildiing condition is not bad.....parking lot and landscape are a mess. safe and quiet is a plus.
