Nice hotel, but has its issue

Posted Jun 25, 2015
Nice hotel, close to beach.. But the rooms or the cleaning staff needs help. We checked in room. Floor wasn't vacuumed had stains on toilet. So we reported it. They gave us another room. And again stains on the toilet. Went to the front with pics this time and told. They said they would get to it immediately. Left to do some things. Came back it was clean. I believe they need someone to check after cleaning crew. Oe more think think the pool should stay open till 11 or 11:30 for adults. Kids play in pool all day and adults don't have time to relax in hot tube or pool. Would of been nice and more relaxing.

Nice Hotel for a short stay

Posted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: Beds were comfortable and very quiet Hotel.
Cons: Needs updated
Location: We were there for a Conference. Beach was convenient, no restaurants within walking distance if that is something you require.
Bed was comfortable, not issues with noise. Just could use a little updating. It is an older Hotel, but if was fine for what my husband and I needed. Saw lots of families here at this Hotel.

Good place to stay on the beach

Posted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: Nice hotel but the front desk staff do not know all the services the hotel provides such as FedEx and UPS pickups daily. We were told there were none
Cons: Get the front desk staff up to speed on the services the hotel offers.
Location: The USS Lexington -- DO NOT EAT at the U & I Restaurant unless you don't know what good food tastes like.
Nice hotel but the front desk staff do not know all the services the hotel provides such as FedEx and UPS pickups daily. We were told there were none. Also, the shuttle -- we were told it didn't go to Whataburger Field, but it does. Other than that we had a comfortable stay and like the fact the hotel is on the beach.

Emerald Beach Hotel stay

Posted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: Ease of getting in and out of our room.
Cons: Maid needs to check TP and Kleenex more carefully. We ran out of Kleenex, and almost ran out of TP. (There were only two Kleenex tissues remaining.)
Location: We were at a conference.
It was an especially good place for my wife and I since we much prefer ease in getting in and out of our room. That is, we don't like having to go through lobbies, up and down elevators, etc. We had access in the back of the hotel, with a room on the bottom floor, so access and egress were very simple, which is what we prefer. We typically stay in motels where we drive right up to the room, unload, and settle in. This hotel was about as similar to that as you can get, I think. One minor issue - the maid apparently did not think we needed more TP, and we definitely did. So I had to go to the front desk to retrieve some. Otherwise, it was a pretty good place for us, anyway.

Nice place to stay

Nice place to stay, easy access to the beach and pool. Great cabana where you can have an adult beverage on the beach. Will stay there again when I'm in Corpus.

Hotel staff is very friendly. Indoor pool and games were nice for the kids. Rooms were tight especially for a family of 5. On the website it made it seem like there was plenty of room for a family of this size.

Great location!

Posted Jun 10, 2015
Check in was really quick and easy. We had a baby room, and ended up with a bottom floor sliding glass to the beach. It was a wonderful location. Not the hotels fault, but the only downside is that sand was everywhere. The hotel does need a spray area or rug or something to catch all the sand. The water spicket that was supposed to be used did not work. Also, when we were there, the beach had a bacteria warning as it is in a bay not the actual golf. So we went to Padre Island national beach and Mustang Island Beach for the gulf, both of which were relatively short drives (30-45 min) and well worth the drive. One night, we had people checking in at 4 o'clock in the morning and being very disruptive, loud music and stomping. We had to complain 2x, but the gentleman at the desk was very understanding and by the second time we heard the knock on the door upstairs ourselves. The people upstairs were immediately more respectful. It's definitely in need of updating, and better cleaning. But all in all, we loved our stay. And my kids loved the game and pool area.

Car broken into

Posted Jun 10, 2015
Hotel was ok but for the same price we could have stayed at a better hotel. Our car was broken into and did not feel safe after that. Beach was very dirty trash every where, I understand that it is a public beach but I would invest a little money to clean it up. Hotel was not dirty but just very run down. Staff was friendly and semi-attentive. I would not recommend to others.
