“Nice. What you would expect from Hampton Inn”

Nice room. Beds are comfortable. Though I wish they would wash the comfortors on the beds. But non of the hotels do it for some reason. Anyway my only complaint would be the person in charge of the breakfast in the morning was very slow and was not able to keep food or even milk full for the guests. Other than that the staff was friendly. The hotel was clean. Nice location to the beaches, food, and shopping. It was nice and priced about average for the area, though im still looking to pay less somewhere next time I travel to Port Aransas.

Dining
Bring lots of money or have credit cards that are not maxed out. Food is very expensive in Port Aransas. Still looking for good seafood. We ate at the most expensive place in town and Nope, it wasnt good. So next time we will try a couple of other places.

“We will definitely return”

The hotel was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and very comfortable. Everything was perfect and we will go back again. We had never been to Mustang Island Beach and found it to be great. It is around the corner from the hotel. The room and bathroom were very roomy. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Perfect, perfect. I was also very surprised to find a Texas beach so much like Florida. I grew up going to Galveston. The beach was white, and clean, water was beautiful.

Area recommendations
The entire Padre Island. Snoopy's is a great restaurant just minutes away. There is also 2 long piers to walk out on at the beach.
Dining
Snoopy's is great. Great seafood and great prices. Loved it.

“good stay”

the stay was not too bad,the guy at the desk was nice, got us into our room early.the downside was that it was on th 1st floor and right next to the breakfast area,so it was difficult to sleep in the next morning,as the waffle machine was going off every few minutes, and children being loud while thier parents shooshing them was heard most of the morning.so if you get room 107,and plan to sleep in,its not gonna happen.over all the stay wasnt bad, there were a couple of roaches, but its the island, and they are everywhere anyway.the carpet had a damp feel, but again, its the island and it was expected.bed was comfy, and the lady was on top of everything at breakfast.the free breakfast was ok.nothing special.didnt expect anything special.the water in the bathroom never got hot, only warm, and the sink water also would not get hot,so to shave kinda sucked.parking was ok,too many ppl with boats taking up all the parking.lots to eat near by.the pool was ok,some sand in it from the kids not rinsing off before hand, but hats thier parents fault.but overall a good stay

“Overall great, but Philosophy of Maintenance?”

Hotel was very nice. One of the reasons we booked it was because it has an indoor pool and a indoor hot tub. We arrived around 8pm or so, my wife and the kids and I visited the pool/hot tub only to find that the water in the 'hot tub' was about 50 degrees. Upon talking to the front desk about it, they said someone would be out to fix it late next week. Obviously that did not help us for the weekend we were there. The next morning for breakfast, the juice machine at the breakfast bar was broken, but they did have apple juice in a pitcher beside the broken juice machine. That afternoon we wanted to make a sandwich in our room. We got a couple mustard packs from the breakfast bar, and they were old and dried out. You just have to ask what is their philosophy on maintenance and upkeep? That I don't know, since I did not ask. It is too bad on the hotels website they can't keep the hotel amenities up to date, to say that although there is a hot tub, it is out of service until a particular date. I would stay there again, but would call first to see if the important amenitities are up and functioning as the website says they are.

“I have already recommended this hotel to friends from church who plan to go to Padre Island soon.”

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food for breakfast was good and a staff person was available and refreshed food supplies as needed. I plan to return to this hotel whenever visiting Padre Island again. The rooms were very nice, especially the large one with the extra couch and room. My son and his family will ask for the larger room next time. It made relaxing in the living area easy while my 7 yr. old granddaughter watched Disney on TV. The pool and hot tub were excellent also and were enjoyed by my family.

Area recommendations
The Texas State Aquarium was a very nice side-triip for young childere ranging from 2-7 yrs. Of course, Mustang Island State Park is a must as it has outdoor showers as well as rest room facilities with running water. Several shops in the area have designs that also attract the children such as a whate entrance.

“Nice clean place”

We spent two nights here while vacationing in Corpus Christi. The room was nice and clean. The people at the counter were helpful. The lady who runs the breakfast bar took the time to teach me and my son how to work a waffle iron. We initially had only booked 1 day, but I liked it so much I book an additional day (through expedia). The other hotels near the beach look sandy/gritty, this hotel was not. We went for a swim and the pool is heated. As far as close restaurant/drive ins, Sonic is right across the street. Beware the gull with one leg, if you feed him he has many friends.

“Awesome hotel!”

My family & I stayed 4 nights at this hotel. We stayed a couple weeks after spring break so it wasn't very busy. The hotel is relatively new and was very inviting. The hotel staff was extremely pleasant, the room was very neat and clean and extremely roomy. We had great service and they even served hot cookies in the lobby in the afternoon. We stayed in a queen suite (2 adults and 3 kids) and having 2 beds plus a sofa bed worked great. The room had a huge refrigerator, a microwave, and a wet bar/sink area. It also came stocked with plenty of towels and the bath towels were not those small little towels that barely cover anything but a standard size bath towel. We also enjoyed the hot breakfast in the morning as they always had a great selection to choose from, not your typical continental breakfast. The pool wasn't too big but it overlooked the sand dunes and the sun rise in the morning was beautiful. The exercise facility was also one of the best we've used at a hotel with 3 different cardio machines, a dumbbell rack with weights up to 40 lbs and a bench and stability ball and mat. It was a perfect location, only a couple minutes from the beach and only about 15 minutes from the National Seashore and Port Aransas. It was also extremely reasonable (great rates on Expedia) and was way less expensive than the hotels that sat right on the beach. Our kids loved the hotel and all the room we had. We will definitely stay there again!!

Area recommendations
I would recommend staying at the Padre Island Hampton Inn and Suites. The location is perfect, close to everything, and it feels like you are truly at a resort.
