should not have stayed near Ice machine with baby in room trying to sleep at night.

Bad area of town

The hotel has a great entrance but the rooms are lacking. Smell of mildew in the hallways. Room was not service 1 of the 3 nights. The neighborhood was not good, strip clubs and night clubs close by. My wife felt unsafe even in the parking area

While we are in an industrial part of town, we do not a night operations group that patrols our hallways and parking throughout the evening hours. We feel quite comfortable in saying that you are more than safe while in our hotel. We hope that you will visit us again in the very near future.

Given the room, for the same price, would have rather stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and gotten a fridge and microwave.

Seminar at the Hotel

My husband and I ttended a seminar in this hotel for CEU credits. The lobby of the hotel was nice but you can smell the chlorine from the fountain as you you enter. People from the lobby were very helpful and courteous. The elevator and the carpet has distinct odor though. One can tell that the place is an older facility. The neighborhood was not the best but was about 30-45 min away from Padre Island National Seashore depending on traffic. The food was okay, edible. I would say that you can get better breakfast outside cheaper than $12.95(tax included). There's not alot of hotels at Corpus Christi and that is why on-going rate for hotels this time of the year can be expensive. The newer hotels were pricier. Over-all our stay though at this Holiday Inn was pleasant.

It may be that you had entered just after we applied chemicals to our fountain but we do apologize if this caused an issue for you.
