Moldy hotel by the marina

Posted Jul 22, 2014
After being largely ignored by staff for for several minutes, we were able to check into what would be a very moldy, dirty, smelly room. In accordance with hotel safety precautions, the sliding door leading to the balcony was locked, this is the last thing I wanted in this smelly room.

WORST hotel stay ever!!! Homophobic GM and employe

Posted Jul 8, 2014
My fiance and I(we are both females), were lounging at the pool and the GM came out and told us we needed to stop showing affection. All we were doing was holding hands and an occasional peck on the cheek. He said we needed to be mindful of other guests and children. I paid to stay and not be harassed. I will never stay at a Holiday Inn ever again.

I apologize if you felt I was being rude, but as I mentioned to you I had no problem with the ladies being in the area and I was coming to you due to guest complaints. I did not go into great detail in to what guests were saying as I did not want to offend you or your party, but some things being said and done were a bit graphic. Thank you for choosing our hotel for your recent get away.

Hotel close to beach.

Posted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: Easy access to bay. Good view from the room.
Cons: Check out time at 11:00 am is a bit too early. Late check out 12:00 preferred.
Location: Easy restaurant access. Good walk by the bay.
Clean and comfortable room. Nice location and easy access to the bay.

Nice Location, nice people

Posted May 27, 2014
Cons: Breakfast restaurant is too small and the waiting time is just unreasonable long.
Location: Location is perfect.
I went with my family for a long weekend scape, the hotel seems to be OK for the price. The only one element to comment is the breakfast, you have to wait 1/2 hour to be seated. Thanks, Carlos

Thank you for your recent stay with us. My apologies that you experienced a wait for breakfast. We do have a plan to expand the restaurant seating and add a nice deck on the front of the Hotel over looking the bay and should give us a nice 30 to 50 seat expansion. We hop to have this started and complete soon.

Good hotel

Posted May 13, 2014
Pros: Location, Location,
Cons: The staff did hint that they were going through renovations, lets see what happens.
Location: My wife .loves to walk and Shoreline drive has excellent wide sidewalks that are good for running /walking/skating,etc...
Overall a good hotel, we had a bit of a problem with the a/c in our room(always felt warm) but we were not in the room that much anyway.

Huge prices for very mediocre quality.

Posted May 10, 2014
Pros: The lobby was clean enough.
Cons: Service. The bathrooms are very grungy. Pool area is very outdated. The lobby decor is much nicer than what you will find in the rooms.
Location: Corpus Christi was a huge disappointment. We had low expectations based upon friend's input, but were still disappointed.
Arrived to the hotel and had my room booked online. The staff was very unfriendly and unaccommodating. Desk receptionist had a very negative attitude and made my checking-in experience very difficult. My party avoid the staff for the rest of our stay. The price of the hotel, although it is on the gulf, is ridiculously priced for the quality. I recommend staying at the Radisson down the street. It's much higher quality and the rate is cheaper. We wouldn't have even stayed at the Holiday Inn if the rest of our party was not already checked in. We will probably never visit Corpus Christi again, even if family is visiting that area.

Don't leave anything!

Posted May 5, 2014
Pros: The proximity to the beautiful shoreline drive and downtown Corpus Christi.
Cons: The service -----Ashley, front desk ----NOT HELPFUL. Josh in reservations -----less helpful. Executive offices ----the female is not truthful.
Location: downtown and shoreline drive ---good
I left my cell phone in the room and called to ask for it to be mailed. 4.5 hours later and many, many transfers to phones that no one answered and continued cycling me through endless recordings, I finally advised Ashley at the front desk NOT to transfer me one more time as she had already done repeatedly. Even the executive dept. promised "I'll call you right back" never called me and never made themselves available again. Josh in reservations was totally unhelpful and just cycled me back into reservations recordings for another 65 miles as I drove from Corpus Christi to Huntsville. I thought hotels were about service: NOT!!!!
