Nice hotel

Posted Aug 24, 2014
It's a great hotel only reason it didn't get full rating is because the bathrooms need some updating.

Thank you for your recent stay with us. I will get with our engineering department regarding that ants and not having A/C in our lobby area. I was unaware that we did not have any. My apologies for misplacing your valet keys to your car and I will address this with our Valet to ensure they are following proper key control measures.

Bellhops: Tips more important than service

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: teach the Bellhops to assist customers not take them for a tip.
As we checked in I asked to get a cart for my luggage because the Bellhops had them all locked up. They got all snotty with me but gave me one. He then leered at me every time I came past the lobby. As we were leaving I asked again, and was refused. Until I asked to speak to a hotel manager and then it was no problem getting a cart, except for the attitude problem. They are hiding the carts to guarantee tips for themselves. This is terrible. I travel with two kids under 3 and it takes me a while to organize. I need a cart. I do not need the attitude. As a gold member, I have never seen this at any other Holiday Inn. Also the lobby restrooms were so disgustingly dirty I could not use them.

My apologies for the customer service that you received with our bellstaff. We understand that there are some guests that do not wish to be assisted and have recently purchased carts that are easier to use and have a breaking system on them. We have experienced a run in with run away carts from are larger ones and try to make sure our bellstaff assists with them as they have been known to cause damage to cars and are a liability. Our smaller carts do have a breaking system that guests are more than welcome to request. I will address the restrooms with our housekeeping department and apologize if you did not find them to meet your expectations.

Posted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: Location, atmosphere
I often stay at the Holiday Inn, but this weeks experience was the worst the temp in my room did not go down at all was stuff and warn all night, the service at the lounge was bad. There happen to be a fill in replacement serving and service was slow and inattentive.

Had a better stay at hotels for half the price.

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: The view and the bar downstairs.
Cons: Fix condensation coming from ac vent, vacuum floors, and fix door seal on balcony.
Location: Good location.
Room was not vacuumed when we were there. Floor was wet due to water dripping from the ac unit. Door on balcony had air leaking around seal. For as much money as I paid for this room, I should have received a lot more! The only thing this room had going for it was the view and the bar downstairs.

Don't stay

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Very limited parking space for full size pickups or suv`s. Had to pay for parking space across the street. Purchased full breakfasts meals for four when booking the room through expedia.Hotel`s staff only provided with two breakfast meals, stated that expedia misinterprets their policy and we should have call the hotel directly when we booked the room!!!!!!. Rooms are old and very small. Not a pleasant stay.

Thank you for your recent stay with us. My apologies for the parking issue you experienced, but the garage was built in 1984 with no room for expansion. We are looking into the breakfast package issue and do our best to work with the third party sites to make sure they are selling and giving out current and correction information. Our rooms are currently being renovated and we hope to have them complete this year and are approximately 420 square feet.

I expected more....

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Wow at almost $200 a night I did not expect a stinky hotel room. I had a stinky room with dirty carpets and a tiny restroom that also smelled horrible and had absolutely no ventalation system. I had a balcony that I could not use. The door was sealed shut. The rooms size was ok and the beds were clean. We had a view of the marina and the hotel pool was great. I would not go back to this hotel and would not recommend it either.

My apologies for your experience as it sounds like you may have been in one of our rooms that has yet to be renovated. We do keep our balcony doors locked to help against the humidity and mildew in the rooms in an effort to keep the room as comfortable as possible and we continue to do as much renovation as possible during the busy season. I'm glad that you enjoyed the view and our wonderful pool.

Moldy hotel by the marina

Posted Jul 22, 2014
After being largely ignored by staff for for several minutes, we were able to check into what would be a very moldy, dirty, smelly room. In accordance with hotel safety precautions, the sliding door leading to the balcony was locked, this is the last thing I wanted in this smelly room.

My apologies for your recent experience. We are addressing the mildew issue and working with IHG to come up with a better solution to keep the rooms and hallways smelling fresh. We do keep our sliding glass doors locked to help reduce the humidity and condensation in the rooms and find that this helps greatly reduce the mildew in the rooms.
