Comfortable hotelPosted Jul 25, 2013
Pros: It has easy access to the water for fishing
Location: The location is centrally locacted so everything is close by
Good clean room, nothing fancy but very acceptable at a fair price. Good area for fishermen since the pier is right across the street. I was there in the middle of July heat and humidity but the A/C was so cold in the room I had to turn it down. The only problem was that the elevator was out and I had a third floor room so I had to carry all my gear up three flights of stairs

see y'all next time!Posted May 28, 2013
Pros: killer location
I've read bad reviews about this hotel and do not understand peoples problems. is it the Monte Carlo? No but it is a clean, very well run, very affordable and conveniently located hotel, with a great fishing pier. if you need more than that, please dont come to Rockport, Texas. noise seems to be a popular complaint. if people getting up early to go fishing bothers you, dont come to Rockport, Texas. we will be back.

Comfort and a view - and fishing!Posted Mar 2, 2013
Pros: location, comfort, fishing pier, water view
The hotel was a pleasant surprise. It's just across a one lane street from the bay (no beach); has a shaded picnic and grilling area and waterside boardwalk folks were using for fishing. Pool and a hot tub are next to the building. The private fishing pier extends far into the water and is lit at night. Bedroom has king bed and double sink bathroom. It connects to a huge room with another queen bed, living room, small dining table, and full kitchen (no dishwasher). This room opens onto the balcony that runs the length of the building and overlooks the water. The hotel is within walking distance of downtown and other attractions and has an elevator, which really helps loading and unloading. This isn't a luxury hotel. it's older and has some nice upgrades; some of the furniture is worn. The kitchen isn't furnished except for a couple of mugs, glasses, and cutlery. You'd have to bring your own pots and pans and dishes. They offer good doughnuts and coffee in lobby in the morning. The only drawback during the Saturday of our stay was a long family party with loud music in the picnic area.

Family with 2 young childrenPosted Sep 24, 2012
Cons: rooms are very light walled
Location: great location, close to everything
Had a great trip! This hotel is in a great location. Close to lots of unique shops and directly on the bay. The fishing pier was the highlight for me and the kids. Staff was helpful and even bumped us up to the suite due to overbooking. The rooms are not exactly luxury, but hey if you want that go to Florida. The walls and ceiling are a little thin. If you have kids that like to run around like I do, I would suggest staying on the first floor (your neighbors will appreciate it). Overall I would definately stay here again.

Pros: nice size bathroom and a wonderful pier
Cons: the refrigerator
Location: location is great
We needed a large room because we had to accomodate eight persons, which included 15 month old twins. The room next door was very noisy, like people moving furniture around, the same with the upstairs people, there was just too much activity going on after 9pm, no loud talking, just noisy, place is not well insulated. Sorry.

Best ocean view stay in Rockport, TXPosted Jun 16, 2010
This hotel is exactly as it states and is wonderful for pets and children. The ocean is a stones throw away and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. You can bike, walk on the pier or the road right next to the ocean and not worry about traffic. The room has ice cold a/c and the kitchen and bunk beds for the kids make it very affordable and convenient. The pet friendly attitude is a seller for sure. I will stay here again and again with my family and pets. Thanks to the staff for their friendly nature!
