Dirty, run down, old

Posted May 17, 2015
I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The bathroom was disgusting and I was very hesistant to use the shower. The room was dirty. It hadn't been cleaned well. Dirt fuzz was collected in the back of the nightstand. The room had a strange smell to do. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. For the rate I paid I was expecting something nice and clean at least.

A pretty good place to lay your head.

Pros: The service was good. The room was quiet. The breakfast was good.
Cons: Air freshen the rooms for your guests.
Location: Texas A&M University Corpus Christi Plenty of restaurants and shopping 15-20 minutes away from the beach in South Padre
The service was great. My room was pretty good. The only thing is it smelled kinda stuffy and the room was humid, if that makes any sense. There was a lot of moisture in the room for some reason. I could feel it in the carpet and in my shoes...on anything with fabric. But, it was still comfortable. Make sure you get a room on the backside away from the freeway(It is LOUD!). It's quiet on the backside. Also, I couldn't find the ice machine at first. I walked in circles. It was in the front of the motel. Overall, the room was nice and the breakfast was great. I liked the waffles. If you are looking for somewhere to stay and you know your way around the city, this is a good spot. It's not the most beautiful view, but you will get your money's worth, for sure.

terribke room

Posted Apr 18, 2015
For $100 you would think that the room would have been in good working condition. The sink was stopped up, the light in the bathroom was burned out, the bathtub faucet wouldn't turn off, well it turns off both directions but isn't supposed to, the sheets had a hole in them. It was awful, I do NOT recommend staying there!

Reservations...bah! First come,first served here!

Posted Apr 2, 2015
Pros: The manager was super quick to apologize. Having the cleaning staff/ divas at the front desk staring at customers was a bit of a put-off.
Cons: The reservation system and the way they handle the rooms.
Location: Located on the SPID (South Padre Island Drive), plenty of food and places to shop.
I stopped by at 10:30 am to just confirm my reservation for a non-smoking room with a king sized bed. Yes, the reservation was confirmed and I could come back at 1:30 pm to check-in. After picking my wife up from the airport at 12:00, having not seen my wife for 3 months, we went for lunch and then went back to wanted to get checked - in early since we had a 2:30 pm app for tattoos. Back at the hotel around 1:45 pm, we were told that they had not yet cleaned any of the rooms with king beds yet. I asked them if they could just check us into a room and that we would just get are room key and come back at around 4:30 pm. They said they could not do that and since I had a reservation, I was guaranteed a the room I reserved. Arriving at about 5:00 pm, I was told that they had ran out of non-smoking rooms with a king bed, but was going to have maintenance spray a smoking room for us. Instead of receiving the room we reserved, we received a room with two double beds. I guess we were not going to be able to sleep together again. The only redeeming value was the coupon for a free nights stay at any LA Quinta. I guess it really was first come, first served.

Not Good!

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Cons: Everything needs to be improved.
Way to expensive for this hotel. Beds very uncomfortable. I wanted to go sleep in the car but my husband would not let me. Very loud with the trash truck at 6am. Funny smell in room. Never again...Booked for 2 nights. Hotel staff had no problem cancelling our 2nd night.

Didn't clean

We stayed two nights. They didn't bother to come in and clean our room after first night. No clean towels, no beds made, no new coffee supplies left

It's a perfectly nice stay close to every shopping center I liked and the check in was so fast and easy. The room and bed were very comfortable and clean.
