Travel for Business

Pros: Price and location.
Cons: The room had a funny smell, like bad perfume. The coffee pot was a nice feature, however housekeeping did not replenish the supplies every night.
I found this hotel to be adequate and priced right. The accommodations and staff were fine. I didn't get a chance to try the breakfast due to my work schedule, however the location is close to plenty of restaurants and fast food. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in or thru this area. Good stop for the price.

Great location....

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: Good breakfast,
Location: Close to the ferry, close to grocery, close to restaurants....
Staff was friendly and accomodating. Room and bathroomn was clean. There was a musky smell from the a/c unit (probably a leak on carpet), but it was not annoying, and I could have been moved.

I went to my uncle's 50th anniversary party in Aransas Pass. Staying at Microtel Inn & Suites was really nice. The room was clean and the receptionist was very nice. The only recommendation I have is to use a little more comfortable mattresses. Overall our experience was great.

Thanks so much for your comments. So glad that your stay was a good one. For as the mattress in your room they are new ones that are required by Wyndham, but I will let them know about your concerns. Sherry Shaver, Guest Service Manager

Microtel Review

Posted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
The carpet looked cheap. The staff was unfriendly. I thought Wyndham hotels were of good quality but I was disappointed. Looks like this was a cheap Best western like hotel before and Wyndham bought it and put their name on it.

Great room for the price compared to being on the island. Single queen rooms did not have micro or fridge which would have been nice. Small breakfast area so was very crowded. Took about 20 min on average to drive to and cross the ferry into Port Aransas. 30 min to the beach. Clean, friendly, nice pool area. Would definitely stay again.

Pleasant and Enjoyable

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: What was there not to like, except maybe the smallness of the room? Then again, MICROtel, that is what should be expected.
Cons: All was fine!
Location: One of the closest hotels to Port Aransas and the ferry.
Our stary was brief, but very comfortable and refreshing. The staff was very courteous and professional.
