Well Kept FacilityPosted Feb 15, 2015
Pros: Room size and amenities.
Cons: Nothing really. Didn't stay long enough to notice any glaring problems.
Location: Located near the Port Aransas beaches, restaurant. and other activities.
Only stayed one night but wish we had time to stay longer. Very pleasant attentive front desk staff. Room was large with full size couch and mini kitchen area. Very quiet. Included breakfast was a step above basic continental as it included fresh waffles, hard boiled eggs. yogurt. Pool and hot tub area well maintained. Good value for the money.

Great Place to stay for Winter Traveler on Budget.Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: Most important tome was that the staff was great and friendly. Great location. Very Comfortable.
Cons: Even though it was not real bad, in the room I stayed in I was able to hear a little room/TV noise from my neighbors.
Location: The location is GREAT and convenient to everything on the island.
I have stayed up an down the Texas Coast High End to Low End. This is not a High End Place but if you are looking for a very comfortable affordable place to stay during Non Peak Time in Port Aransas without high expectations of a 4 or 5 star hotel, Plantation Suites and Conference Center will fulfill your needs. The Staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, and it is positioned very convenient on the island. The breakfast is a step up from the ordinary continental breakfast, even though it offers all of the same choices it does offer a hot item which was different both mornings that we were there (biscuits and gravy which was very good one morning and scrambled eggs and sausage the next which was good) If we do come back to Port Aransas we will check here first for availability before anywhere else. The only drawback from our trip which is not Plantations fault is that Port Aransas just does not offer many activities for younger children 3 to 14 year olds as other coastal cities do.

Pillows and Comforter had dog hair on them. The bathroom floor had not been swept. Nice hotel just needed some cleaning in bedrooms.

The beach was not close and wall were thin.Posted Jan 20, 2015
Pros: The breakfast
Cons: Thicker ceilings and walls
Location: The beach was not as close as advertised and you had to pay $12 to park on the beach. Lots of souvenir shops, but every thing closed by 5pm.
The walls were so thin that I could hear the man next door snoring (he has sleep apnea) and his baby crying. The ceilings were equally thin, we heard every step taken above our head. The room should not be called a suite, but rather a long narrow room with two beds with a 4 ft. partition between the bed and the couch. There was only an office chair. The closet space did not accommodate the length of my knee-length dress. The breakfast was alright. The view and surroundings were not very appealing.

Port AranasPosted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: The location was close to the beach, shopping and places to eat.

Nice hotel, family friendly, big roomsPosted Jan 1, 2015
Pros: Family friendly. We are a family of 6 and all could stay in the same room. They have big rooms with a sofa bed.
Location: We rented a strand buggy which all of our kids liked a lot (ages 4-10)
It was a great vacation. Nice personnel at the hotel, big rooms, heater outdoor pool and Jaccuzi

Where I will stay every time I come to Corpus!!!Posted Dec 20, 2014
Pros: The one particular thing I liked is that they took my family into consideration to my room placement and local attractions.
Cons: The only thing that can make this place better was if it were free.
Location: You have the beach of course, but a lot of great restaurants and local activities are within 15 min. drive and inexpensive.
The lobby was very clean and organized well. The front desk staff were friendly and booked my room close to the front office so that my children wouldn't have to walk far to go to breakfast. When checking in you get two free drinks, to include beer (I got gatorades), and they told me about activities that are close by to do. I went to my room and there was very spacious with a loveseat and extra table. I was able to set up my 1 yr. old's playpen and have plenty of room to walk through and such. The decor was beach beach themed but very pleasant and inviting, not tacky at all. The location is kind of far from main Corpus Christi, but the room was well worth the extra 10 min. to go around, especially while on the ferry crossing my wife and daughters got to see dolphins. I had originally booked two nights but had to cancel the second night due to circumstances. I told the front desk and he told me that I would have to call Expedia, and he explained that they would then call him to see if it is feasible to cancel without extra costs. He told me that he has no problem with it and that he would tell them the same, and he kept his word. The breakfast room had a fair selection, the best part was that you can make your own fresh waffles (Texas shaped too), and had biscuits and gravy that tasted great. I would highly recommend this Suite to anyone whether they are passing by or staying a few days on vacation, you will not regret it I assure you.

Close to beach and piersPosted Dec 16, 2014
It was a good experience, front desk emploee was great, he went out of his way to help us with an issue with the tv. However, floors were dirty, lots of dog hair, but we were so tired and needed some sleep, so we did not mention it to staff, but this was the first time this happened. May Have been an oversite

Loved the atmospherePosted Dec 3, 2014
Pros: Most of it, breakfast was good, hot coffee, clean pool, plenty of seating by pool, rocking chairs by room door, decently clean, beds were ok.
Cons: This hotel needs a restaurant or bar. The rooms could really use better cleaning. I found long black hair in my bed when we first got there.
Location: Lots of shopping, good location, very close to beach
We really enjoyed this hotel. I loved how the pool and hot tub were in the middle of the hotel. It was never too loud and even though you are close to a main road, we didn't hear any traffic. I loved the "plantation" look.
