The rooms were wonderful. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. It seemed as if everywhere i looked there was just that extra touch.

Room was clean. Stayed three days and had to have the room keys rekeyed each night we came back, go down from the 3rd floor each time. TV always had issues with its DirecTV service, it would cut out for a min or two. Breakfast was less than average , things missing each day and kept hearing the truck was coming tomorrow. Property is on frontage road so 1 way traffic. Didn’t use the pool, couldn’t use the outdoor grill, both grills a mess, food still stuck on and greasy black. Ice machine worked each evening but barely filled the ice bin. Ice machine didn’t work in AM. Two elevators but one was out of service, for a 4 floor place. Can’t park near the front door, there is handicap and the rest were always full. With all doors locked it was difficult to get things in the building. When we checked in I asked if there were any added on site fees and was told there were none, yet there is a fee of $3.87 to park in their lot. Seems they should raise their rate if they want to charge for keeping the lights on. There are signs telling you not to leave anything in you car, they are not responsible. In all this was at best below average compared to our previous night from 2 weeks on the road. I am surprised Marriot put their name on this one

Love this hotel!
We love this hotel. I was disappointed to learn that they don’t have the waffle maker for breakfast in the mornings. I can hope they will bring it back.

I have stayed here many times in the past and this time was different. I did not get a king with sofa that I booked online. I received a king and full size bed instead which made it crowded. The front staff wasn’t as welcoming as the ones in the past. I was charged $4.19 for parking!? That’s never happened. Also breakfast was not the same. It was not set out on time and food was cold. No waffles. Definitely not going to return

Service for checkin was so slow. Hard to find the hotel at night. No lights on the whole stay. Breakfast was fair looking. Not enticing enough to eat. Needs updating. The water for the shower was good and hot. No bedskirt on the bed and a worn out couch. I'm not a snob at hotels but they could do much better. Not quality for a Marriott.

Service is good but the room needs to improve.
The service is good. The lady who serves breakfast is very kind and friendly. There are 2 lamps do not work in the room because they don't have right light bulbs. It's not bright enough in the nighttime.

This was a nice clean place. However…there is a weird smell on the main level. Almost musty? Also the hallways are not air conditioned. And The thermometer in my room was set to the lowest setting but it was still warmer than what I prefer. The pool is smaller but nice. The breakfast was good but it doesn’t change. Same thing every day. The lady serving it was super nice!

We stayed two nights. The first night, we got in late wife went to bed. I turned on that TV, after about 30 minutes in to the move. I saw a cockroach crawling on the wall above the TV. It crawled near the sprinkler on the wall and disappeared. I was not sure where it went, I made sure that drink lid was shut, hoping it didn’t fall in. It was the only one I saw the whole time, but where you see one their are more. We stayed on the 4 floor, so not near the food place down stairs.

The facility itself is rundown. Our AC was intermittently turning off and on with a loud sound that kept us up most of the night. The service team was okay but we couldn’t check in until after 6 because the guest before us (accessible room) had a 4pm check out. We had to stay busy for the extra time with my disabled wife and 2 dogs (during the hottest part of the day). Then they charge a TON of fees that I haven’t been charged at any other hotel. I would have stayed elsewhere if I new our 4 night stay was going to be an extra $50.

Parking fee surprise
Our 4-night stay was fine. Unfortunately, we found out after having settled in the room that the pullout table under the desk was missing. Also learned after checkout that the hotel charges for parking (about $4/day). Quite unusual!

The Staff was friendly, our room condition on arrival was not what I would expect from Marriot. The full kitchen is always nice at Townes Place but I will probably stay at another hotel when I go to Corpus Christi, for a two day stay. if you are looking for an extended stay location this may work for you.

Nice place to stay!
We've stayed at this location 5 times since our daughter started college at TAMU-CC. Location is great. Good breakfast (eggs weren't so good this trip). Very clean and the staff is wonderful.

The people at the front desk were very accommodating however, the first room they put me in when I walked in I thought I was in someone else's room. The bed was unmade, there was a cup from Dennys or such in the sink, wet towels on the bathroom floor... Went back to the front desk & they gave me a different room. At first it looked clean except there was no cookware, dishes or utensils but in the morning I saw food stuck to the cabinets, found the dishes & cookware in the dishwasher with food and mold on it... That was the last straw! I canceled the rest of my stay & checked out immediately!

When I entered my room, I found 2 little problems. First, I uncovered the bed sheets and found blood spots on the top sheet and fitted sheet. Second, I found blood spots on 1 bath towel. I told management and she fixed the problem right away. She was very professional, nice and sweet. Overall, the staff was the best part of my experience. Especially the italian lady in charge of the breakfast buffet! If someone asked me if I would recommend to stay here, I would say yes. problem

The shower floor was very slippery and the shower curtain liner was too long. It interfered with being stable standing up in the shower. A couple of lamps didn’t work.
