Very good with dogs as there is good easy dog walking. Comfortable bed. Tired bedroom but nothing wrong or missing. Would stay again.

This hotel is convenient for the motorway. Reception staff did not speak English and our french is limited (our fault) I know. We have stayed here before covid but we're disappointed with the cleanness of the room.

The hotel is a bit old but clean & its nice to have a kettle & coffee in the room. Staff were friendly & the dinner had a good choice & was very tasty.

Hotel well situated in a commercial area with choices of food outlets around. Rooms are small but adequate. The property is dated and needs a facelift. No elevator to the second floor.

All you need for a stopover en route to Paris
Everything needed for a quick stopover. Very amiable reception. Quiet location, blackout shutters and a very comfy bed

Everything was clean however the rooms are incredibly dated. The toilet lid broke as we gently shut it. Room is tiny and zero amenities. Would be fine if it was cheaper, but expect more for $80/night.

Staff was very friendly but the place is a dump. Our room had no AC for ventilation and had to open window which made too bright to sleep. Bathroom grout was nasty and just really rundown.

Good value for money. No nasty surprises.
This is one of the better Campaniles in my opinion (and I've used quite a few in my travels). There is no disputing that the entire chain could do with a lick of paint, but the "motel style" setting offering bedsit like accommodation overrides that in my opinion. Beds are large and comfy and it's very good value for money. The small restaurant on site is adequate, but there are plenty of alternatives within easy walking distance (including a large Lerclerc cafeteria that stays open until about 7.30 I think). There's also a MacDonalds 100m away. The staff are welcoming and very friendly.

Good value accommodation.
Although a little bit in need of an upgrade this hotel is excellent value for money. It is a good place to stay to visit the Dordogne region. Friendly helpful staff good car park and near to town of Brive and local shopping mall.. Beware of Saturday traffic on motorway. Horrendous!

Brive Campanile
Reception very helpful, realised our French speaking was not our strong point and responded with careful English for us to understand. Very welcoming attitude, not pushy if we did or didn't want dinner/ breakfast. Great attitude and customer service. Room very clean though badly overheated so took couple of hours to cool it to bearable. Quiet situation handy too for ZI and supermarkets less than 200m away. Very satisfactory stay for one night

We arrived early and were allocated room 8. Despite being told that it worked in all rooms, the WiFi did not connect. It was fine in the reception. After some discussion, we moved upstairs to room 15 where everything was fine.

Overnight stop while travelling south. Staff very friendly and helpful. The buffet starter is good. Unfortunately, the rooms and exterior are a little tired. The hotel could do with updating and change of colours, the brown exterior is very dated and drab.

A good base for the eastern part of the Dordogne
We found this Campanile very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, they were unable to replace the kettle, which was on its last legs and only just managed to last until our departure. The bedroom looked ready for refurbishment, but was clean and well-maintained.

The staff were pleasant and the location is perfectly situated for the autoroute. Breakfast buffet is sufficient with a reasonable choice. Room was tired, a little shabby and whilst the bedding had been cleaned it had stains on it. We booked a family room with a double and a single for our child. The child bed despite the photos showing a permanent bed was actually underneath the main bed, dusty and probably not recently cleaned. There wa no real room formthe put me up so had t rearrange the room furniture to get it in. Not what you want at the end of a long day travelling.i have stayed in much better hotels for the same amount of money or less. It was ok but won't be staying there again. Makes our premier inn's in the UK look 4 star.

It's Not where it says it is
The website plan shows the hotel very close to the airport buildings, and the details say the nearest airport is "Brive Vallee de la Dordogne" at 0.2km (200 metres). That airport has been closed for 2 - 3 years, and now appears to be a caravan site. The new airport (same name) is some 10 - 15 km to the South. Don't book here if you want to arrive late, or leave early, by air - you'll have to rent a car to get tot the hotel. THE WEBSITE SHOULD BE UPDATED.

Motel type accommodation. Room was comfortable and good for overnight stay. Had to send the food back in the restaurant because it was overcooked and of very poor quality. If you eat there, I recommend the buffet for main and dessert. Staff are friendly and polite but overworked.

The hotel was easy to find and in a quiet location. the staff were helpful even after hours. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The only thing I might add is that the exterior of the building might need a *bit* of sprucing up. Overall, a very nice place to stay for the money

Clean and worth it
Great hotel for sleeping overnight when you're on your way from home to your vacation destination. Stopped here for the night (with reservation), checking in and talking to the staff was a bit difficult since their 'english' badges seem to mean they can say 'hello' and 'bye' in English. But the room was clean, so it is great spot to stop and rest. Doesn't seem like a place for staying more than a day.

We had ordered our evening meal with a choice of red wine when ten minutes later the waitress came up to say that we would have to wait for our wine due to the staff dealing with the arrival of a Coach Party???? We promptly cancelled our meal and enjoyed a meal elsewhere

Not the best of Campanile Hotels
During our trip to France we stayed in 7 hotels of various chains and this was the only one we were disappointed with. The room we were allocated had no natural light, apart from when the door was open, as the window shutters were broken in the closed position. This meant the room was in complete darkness day and night. It also made it impossible to open the window. The hotel staff were aware of this but didn't mention it to us when we booked in. On finding the problem we asked if another room was available but were told the hotel was fully booked. The person on reception said the winder had been broken the previous day. He was very sarcastic saying he had nobody who could fix the shutters perhaps we might like to try! There was no apology about this and we felt they couldn't have cared less.
