Budget hotel near Mesa Verde.

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Price- half of Holiday Inn Express.
Cons: Repairs to room, bigger breakfast room.
Location: Cortez, Co is a friendly small town near Mesa Verde.
Room was comfortable but maintenance was haphazard and amateurish. Many children so it tended to be noisey and breakfast room was small and crowded with limited food choices.

The hotel appeared to have been recently updated, which was nice. The bed was comfortable but there were some stains on the carpeted floor, which makes one wonder about the quality of the housekeeping.

Not bad...not great..

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Quiet, comfortable bed,roomy room.
Cons: spruce up the building, repair steps, paint railings.
Location: Ate at Mr Happy's (really, that's the name) and food was very, very good. Had breakfast at Ute Cafe at edge of town and the breakfast was terrific.
Staff very friendly and accommodating. Rooms somewhat dated but clean and quiet. Beds comfortable. Family friendly. Very large deep (9') outdoor pool, heated but not much. Hot tub was hot. Breakfast just the regular, nothing outstanding.

Family Vacation

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Location to the Mesa Verda National Park
Cons: better price
Location: Very easy access to the NP and other sites
Overall nice hotel. A little over priced for the quality but it is in a vacation hot spot. Nice sized room but very dated feel. Overall good place to stay

Ok motel very close to Mesa Verde

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Comfortable room
Cons: Outdoor stairs need sweeping & garbage cans were overflowing
Location: Mesa Verde is a few miles away.
We stayed only one night & it was comfortable. Outdoor areas could be cleaner & garbage cans emptied, but staff was friendly, room was clean & breakfast was good.

The scalding shower

Posted Jun 29, 2014
While they reformed the room, they didn't replace the old shower mixing valve which doesn't balance the water pressure when the next door toilet is flushed

Comphy new mattresses, lovely location

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Read some bad reviews. They aren't true. Walls are a little thin but music worked to cover crying baby. New beds-best in 2 weeks. Location is best in town. No road noise. Breakfast so so but El Grande's was good.
