Cheap and clean

Posted Aug 14, 2014
Cons: Replace the blanket on the bed. It was worn looking and stained.
Location: Ten miles from the Mesa Verde National Park Visitor's Center.
If you are looking for a cheap place to stay that is clean this a good option. Breakfast is nothing special just the usual bagels, bread, and cereal options. There is a Denny's right across the street though if you are like my husband and want eggs for breakfast.

Handicap access room marginal

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: Parking was good.
Cons: Get a person in a wheel chair to try out the bathroom and fix what they find
I'm not sure who decides if a room is ok for handicap access. Bathroom was very tight to fit a wheel chair into. The handrails were not well positioned for the toilet. Room seemed fairly clean. Complementary breakfast was worth what you paid. Price for the room seemed to be very high for what you got. I've stayed in worse but don't expect real Handicap access.

The room could use an update, esp. the bedding. Nice pool. Variety of breakfast items.

expectations were accurate

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Econolodge was exactly what we expected it would be. a place to sleep. The staff was friendly, but the hotel was a pet friendly hotel. Not what we wanted, but it provided us a bed. The bathroom was very small, but functional. Room itself was large. We normally like to stay in four to five star hotels, but none in Cortez. so this met our needs.
