We loved this stay! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Not to mention, they got the themed rooms down! We stayed in 1950, and the checkered floors and “couple” themed art was so darling. This place is CLEAN. They get all the nooks and crannies. They have a game room with a very nice pool table and foosball. Book this place, you love it! Breakfast was great too!

Not entirely convinced that the retro look was totally achieved inside the appartment, outside yes. It was,however, spotlessly clean and the reception was very efficient. Breakfast good and it was an excellent location for Mesa Verde. We would certainly stay here again.

The Retro in a fun experience- each room is numbered for a year and inside it is decorated accordingly. Staff is great- clean and convenient. Basic breakfast with good options.

We loved the fun retro theme. There was so much to do on the property. Games, places to sit and relax, fun things to look at. We will most definitely be back and bring more family members.

We stayed here 6 years ago. It was very cute then. But have come back last night and they've done so many improvements. Very darling hotel. Staff is great and even the continental breakfast was good! They've added so many improvements. It would be a great place to go during the summer with their outdoor amenities available. I'm looking forward to staying again!

The pictures looked amazing and I was excited to stay at this themed property. I was very disappointed. There was nothing retro about my room except a picture on the wall of kids playing a computer in the 80s. The toilet clogged easy. The fitted sheets were too small for the bed and kept slipping off during the night. The beds were tipped so that your feet were above your head and it felt like you were going to roll off the side. There was one working plug, which I was using to work on my laptop for most of the night so we couldn’t charge our phones. The internet was slow, and I was taking a test and it lost connection. I about had a heart attack. The tests are worth a lot of points on my grade. The breakfast was pathetic. Frozen waffles, muffins, and oatmeal packets. Pathetic. The tables at the breakfast area were dirty. We didn’t stay. Because it was a Sunday, there were only two places in town to go eat and they were so busy that it took us an extra 2 hours to get out of town. The only good thing was the giant chess set out on the lawn.

The unique decorating scheme for the hotel was super fun. I loved the retro vibes. Our room was super clean. I was genuinely impressed with the cleanliness of our room. Water pressure was fantastic and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was a typical continental, but definitely fresh with multiple options and the staff was super friendly and kind. It was a ten minute drive to Mesa Verde and was close to multiple grocery stores and gas stations. Oh, and my kids liked the giant chess board. They exceeded my expectations for being in such a small town.

retro inn is a good value! The bed is comfy, room is clean. Breakfast bar had protein options, fruit and all the usual carbs. I would stay here again. I am not a fan of the low flow shower heads however.

This place is terrific. It has the charm of a quaint motel, with actual keys for the rooms. The rooms are spacious and have themes, clean bedding, excellent hot water, and refrigerators and microwaves They have a game room, laundry, outdoor seating, a fire pit, and breakfast. The staff was kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

The Retro Inn exceeded our expectations for a 2 star motel. The uniqueness of each room was cool along with interesting options including outdoor chess, billiard/games area. The food was exceptional. The room was very clean and well made. The host made an excellent dinner recommendation - Farm Bistro. We would go back again if we travel through Cortez.

We stayed here a couple of years ago and found it was still excellent during our 2-night stay. The decor has a sense of playfulness. Our room was large and clean. The wifi was excellent. Breakfast was good with oatmeal, fresh fruit and other expected items. Our only complaint is that our room could use another light or two, particularly one on the desk. It's a large room that needs better illumination. But the Retro Inn will still be our choice the next time we pass through Cortez.
