Affordable hotel with free breakfast

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Affordable and free breakfast in a tourist town.
Cons: Bed could have been more comfortable...no pillow top.
Location: Close to Mesa Verde...local golf course was very well maintained and a fun play for both me and my wife... challenging layout but still playable.
Room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was more than a typical "continental" breakfast.

Super 8 review

Posted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: nothing
Cons: air conditioning, truthfulness about smoking or better cleaning of rooms. Better replacement of worn items.
Location: great location
I had 3 rooms reserved, non-smoking. Two rooms were ok, but air conditioner not too good in my room. I did not complain to staff. Third room was for my son and his family. They were given a room that had been smoked in. The room smelled of smoke and had cigarette burns in the bedspread. I complained to the staff and was told that the entire hotel was smoke free and he had not been given a smokers room. We were on the third floor and it was not marked "No smokng " on the stairway door as was the second floor. Also, on my 2 other rooms, they were marked non smoking but the third was not. So, you tell me, is the hotel a non smoking hotel? don't think so! Also, why is the only ice machine on the ground floor in the vending room and people have to climb stairs? Is it not a little bit cheap of them? I doubt if I ever go back to a Super 8 again, although the one we stayed in in Moab was nice, I won't take a chance with them again. i

Thank you for staying with us and for your comments. The hotel is definitely all non-smoking. We made the change last summer when we installed all new mattresses, bedspreads and drapes. We have not completed the change to signs on the doors. Unfortunately some guests do not honor or request not smoke in the rooms. We will certainly check the room, and if it has been smoked in, will have it deep cleaned. I apologize for your inconvenience.

Friendly staff

Pros: Close to city activities
Cons: Nothing
Location: City Market near by, restaurants and shopping nearby
Eventhough None of our requests to Expedia for a Handicap accessible room were granted , these gals found a room for us late at night. Clean rooms. Good experience.

Lack of accessibility

Posted Jun 28, 2015
We had a lot of luggage and there was no elevator. Had to walk 3 floors to get anywhere. Very inconvenient for us, in our seventies. No room on the first floor, even though we booked well in advance. The older woman in the breakfast are was excellent and very friendly,

Clean & quiet

Clean and quiet. Would have liked at least hard boiled eggs .. Breakfast should not be all carbs .. So unhealthy! The breakfast attendant was super sweet and helped our kids as if they were family :)

Leuk hotel, onvriendelijk personeel

Posted Jun 22, 2015
onvriendelijk receptie.

Basic needs provided

Posted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: Location. Close to event and local shopping. About half the cost of local motels in the area. You get what you pay for.
Cons: Overall cosmetics and general maintenance. This place will keep a handyman well employed. Pack lightly if on 3rd floor.
Location: Close enough to local attractions like Mesa Verde and other sites.
Pros: Location adjacent to grocery store and many attractions, modern TV, clean bathroom, good lighting, helpful staff, fresh hot coffee, simple breakfast (apples, oatmeal, cereal, prepackaged sweet rolls, cook your own waffles, low-fat milk, and vending machine). Comfortable king size bed and large table, two chairs. Cons: No microwave or refrigerator (in my room), no elevator, broken knob on air conditioner (had to unplug from wall to turn off). Crowded dining area for breakfast. Would I return? Yes. I booked the room and paid in advance for four nights in a row and saved a lot of money. Overall it was comfortable and pleasant during my four nights there.

Nice

Wish they had a pool. Staff made a great suggestion for dinner, since we had our dog and needed a place with a patio. Great location and quiet.

Convenient hotel near Four Corners.

Posted Jun 1, 2015
No elevators to 3rd floor room made it difficult for my 82 year old mother traveling with me. We had 2 very heavy suitcases, which made it difficult to get them up the stairs. Terrible view from our room of old hotel which was nonhabited.
