The bed was like a rock and impossible to sleep on. Breakfast was nothing special, not even bagels.

Overnight on a road trip. Ok, not wonderful. Cheaply and sparsely furnished. No extra pillows and air conditioning not great.

Cheap but run down...

Posted Jul 29, 2014
This was ok as I guess you get what you pay for. Having said that, the door didn't close all the way, the bathroom window was cracked and the bathroom door didn't close, the carpet was dirty, etc.

Clean but small.

Good for just the boys, but would have been too small for our family of four to be comfortable.

A Place to Quickly Sleep

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Access to National Park.
Cons: Cleanliness of room.
We were seeking an inexpensive place to stay as we knew it would be nights only as the rest of the time would be spent at Mesa Verde. The lady at front desk was very pleasant, there were a lot of people there and she was obviously getting hit from all sides. This was the last pleasant part of the stay. When we entered our room, it had not been vacuumed. There was still urine on the porcelain portion of the toilet, and hair in the shower. If you sit on the toilet and look across, there was splatters of something on the wall. We went to the bed and stripped it down to see if the sheets had been changed, yes, that at least had been done. I had every intention of approaching the front desk, but she was still busy. We instead made do. Next day we left, came back, and floor was still not vacuumed. The trashcans within the hall and outside our building were filled with BudLight cans. As we left I did the final check I always do at a hotel (normally do before we tuck in, but waited until we left as I already knew the results) I wet a face clothe and wiped it across the bathroom floor. Came up brown. (This is a really good test to see how thorough a hotel is in cleanliness.) This place is family run, and I do not like being negative, perhaps it was just an off week.

Simpel hotel near city center

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: central location, not very expensive and nice hosts
Cons: dunno
Location: Cortez is a small typical American town. It's close to Mesa Verde National Park (20 min driving).
Simple to find, easy access, central in town and not very expensive. Good startingpoint to visit Mesa Verde National Park. Food court is within walking distance however to visit a real restaurant you will need a car.

basic hotel but not a good value

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Room was OK and clean
Cons: Halls were dirty and the room was overpriced.
Location: Good location on Main St. in Cortez.
It is a basic hotel but not a great value for the price. Room was clean and OK. Hallways were not. It was one of the few with openings over the 4th of July weekend.

Comfortable. Good location

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness and friendly staff
Cons: Satisfied with everything
Location: Too many to name
Very friendly and helpful managers. They both went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Newly remodeled rooms near the office are nicer, but the entire establishment was well maintained. A very reasonable summertime rate.

Pros: Price
Cons: Modernized, parking. Ice machine repaired.
Location: Mesa verde NP
Hotel was adequate. Priced right. Air conditioner barely got the room cool by the morning. Value was okay.
