We had read the amazing reviews online and decided to book. Our great gut feeling about it held true. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had read about Roberto in previous reviews and again the reviews were accurate. Everyone could speak a little English but Roberto was our go to because he was more fluent. He gave us some great recommendations for local restaurants and events. We even mistakenly showed up a day early and didn't realize until the end of our stay. They had accommodated us with no fuss at all. The hotel was very clean, big bathroom, and the beach was right across the street.
The breakfast was really good. We loved the fresh croissants every morning. Great selection of food and the lunch we had there was amazing too. A great place to stay and very affordable.

Stayed there for a week. Will not be returning. While Praia A Mare itself is a beautiful town, the staff in Borgo left a bad taste in our mouths.
While the hotel is well maintained and clean, unfortunately the staff, reception staff mainly, are dreadful.
They were unhelpful, standoffish, arrogant, rude and child-like in their giggling at different guests from behind the reception counter.
The advertise themselves as a hotel for UK, Spanish, German and US tourists, yet are unable to communicate with any of them. Their English was either poor/broken or non-existent.
The 'Rules' you receive on check-in are in Italian which was of no help to the four elderly Californian ladies I met wandering around the complex, unable to get any answers. They had no information on where we could eat in the hotel, where/what time the Spa opens or the gym.
This is not just from my experience in dealing with them. I have observed the staff 'dealing' with others and seen the same dis-respect and indifference.

When we arrived the hotel was packed due to a local event. We were given and inferior room where the air conditioning and hair dryer did not work. The next day we were given a better room. However, the hotel was not up to USA standards even though the room was very clean. Hotel selections in the town were limited. We were there to visit relatives. The hotel included breakfast which was pretty limited. If all you need is coffee, juice and a croissant then it's OK. The beach ficility was great, complete with lounge chairs and umbrellas. The swimming pool area was good but a little outdated. The property also had a separate pool for small children and a play ground. However, at night, the place was very noisy.
