The sea view and location. Staff could be friendly as this was lacking and we didnt feel welcome. Not good customer service. Ive stayed around the world in five star places and four star. Never have i experienced unfriendly staff.

Nice hotel with rooftop swimming pool with great ocean and mountain view.. althrough hotel was nice and clean it would rate it as 3.5 star hotel. Improvement suggestion. Plz keep water boiler and tea in room

We were a family of 3. The hotel's location is excellent, right by the beach and 10 minutes walk from the centre of the small town of Pineda. We chose the bed and breakfast option and were extremely happy with the variety of food available. There are options for everyone's taste and dietary needs. Our only disappointment was the swimming pool, which is very small and does not allow people to swim. Although the sea is just in front of the hotel, it is also good to have the option of swimming. The description of the swimming pool should be made more accurate in the website, or the photos need to be more realistic, as they are presented in a way that don't reflect the real size.

The hotel is good, food good and location is good. All what i expected. Downfalls was: walls so thin you can hear the conversation next door word for word. The train track in-between the hotel and beach. The pool is nice but very shallow, good for kids but don't expect Olympic style. We had a great stay and for the price we are very satisfied

Thin walled paradise
We absolutely loved Pineda De Mar and the H-Top Pineda Palace was great with one exception. 4 nights of our 8 night stay were disrupted by disrespectful guest in the room next to ours. There were carrying about and causing a ruckus well into the morning hours, we could even hear them physically smacking their kids. The front desk was called, and they woud call and ask them to be quite, but without any on property security, there was little they could/would do.

I was very disappointed for a 4 start hotel at the beach. All, i meant all was charged. no ice machine, no microwave. no iron. even the internet was charged per hour. ridiculous

Great Hotels.
Great, we have stayed at Pineda Palace Hotel a few times now and it just gets better & better, we would not look at any other hotels if it is not a H Top we have a Love affair with this company, and will continue to holiday with them in the future. Keep it up H Top, we love you.

Most staff friendly but overworked A very clean
The hotel is NOT A 4 STAR ! I have better food in a 2 star hotel. ! A very clean hotel and rooms were spotless but very basic n tired looking ie torn curtains. Awful view from back of hotel so pay for a sea view ! The entertainment was. Rubbish ! But the patio area was very smart. But not enough chairs n tables out there ! It's a very Spanish hotel which is nice, feels more like a foreign holiday . The food. Is disgusting. !!!!!!!!! Same food served every day ! Who eats cold pasta and cauliflower for breakfast ? All the dishes were cold !! Chips were edible. But always cold !!! I would not return to this hotel if it was offered to me FREE !!! Only nice thing was the. Roof top. Sun patio.. Pool far to small and if you go in the school holidays you will never get in there as the kids just go wild , bombing. Etc .... There is no life gaurd so beware ! Also the beds were so cheap and hard basic mattresses we both ended up with bad backs

The hotel was quite nice and the roof pool was great, the bed wasn't very comfortable as they just put two beds together. The staff were great especially Cyril and another gentleman at reception that I don't remember his name (my bad). Overall will recommend to families and will difinetly consider booking again.

The hotel is really central and it was easy to get to the main tourist attractions! Hotel lovely and clean, staff very helpful! Definitely recommend and would stay again! Just watch the taxi drivers adding on extras...

Decent hotel by the beach & close to train station
The majority of staff if not all of them are polite, friendly and will do their utmost to assist guests regardless of language barrier(s). The hotel have seen better days especially the room(s) and the drainage system is in need of a major upgrade due a foul & strong odour emitted from the sinks, shower and bath tub . Free wi-fi is only available for 15 minutes per device. Wi-fi for 7 full days will cost one €20 and 3 days will cost one €10 but you can only use one device at a time. One has to pay €20 to get a TV remote which is refundable on check-out on production of receipt.

Value on a budget
Stayed here full board. It was cheap, but good value for the price. Staff friendly and helpful. The food was okay, don't expect culinary wonders at this price, though there was a good selection and plenty of it. The hotel itself looks due for a refurb and is a little tired, but again I wouldn't expect anything different in this price bracket. Our room was clean and comfortable, although the walls are thin and so it would suck if you have noisy neighbours. Parking is available for free in the surrounding streets. The beach is accessible just across the street.

We stayed for 4 nights in August 2014. The hotel is very clean and tidy, the rooms are spacious, ours with 3 beds and a large balcony. The food was very good and varied with plenty of choice. The drinks system is very well thought out, handing in a card when you get a drink and getting the card back when you return the glass. Overall we had no complaints at all and would like to visit again.

I found the hotels appearance modern and pleasant. The room was clean. Food was quite good with certain things being cooked fresh while you wait. The small pool area is on the roof looking over the sea front. Some guests were not happy with the glass cards, but I think this works very well as it means all the tables are always clean and free from empty dirty glasses at all times. Entertainment was Spanish and French orientated as most of the clientele was elderly Spanish and French. We never had a problem with this, on the whole, we found most people at the hotel to be friendly. I was surprised by charge for Wi-Fi (1day- 5EUR; 3days- 10EUR, 7days - 20EUR). Wi-Fi signal weakens nearer the top of the hotel. Also tourist establishment tax (0.9EUR per person per night +10% VAT) must be paid and necessarily in cash. It is more of a 3 star than a four. All in all I would recommend a stay here. Good, clean and friendly above average 3.5 :)

We only needed a functional hotel, a place to sleep at night, and this hotel fitted the bill perfectly. Rooms were clean, buffet breakfast was plentiful, swimming pool on the roof was great. The beds were not too comfortable, but we got used them after our week. Almost forgot, great position for the beach.

Inexpensive hotel for fun in the sun!
Clean, safe hotel with an excellent location. The hotel is across the street from the beach and down the street from the rail that takes you to Placa Catalunya. The train cost (7.30Euro) round trip and takes 1:05 and runs every :30minutes. The beach was semi crowded with lots to do, (volley ball, Tiki bar, etc..) The staff were genuinely concerned that our stay was pleasant and accommodated a room change quickly since our A/C was broken, also gave us a local map with recommended restaraunts. Artur in particular went above and beyond to ensure we were happy! There are pleanty of bars and food at varying price ranges. The main negative points were the comfort of the beds and the need to leave a 20Euro deposit to use a remote for the tele. I would stay here again!

PINEDA PALACE, COSTA BRAVA, SPAIN.
I,my partner and 10 year old son originaly booked to stay at the Riviera Hotel, Santa Susana where we spent the most horrific 6 nights in the worst hotel you can imagine before checking out and changing to the Pineda Palace. What a difference, nice clean quiet rooms, friendly helpful staff, and, what a nice welcome change, food you can eat. These hotels are only about 1 k apart but miles apart in class. We would gladly stay there again

Cuando llegamos, en el suelo del baño había pelos y pasta de dientes. Lo comentamos en recepción y, a parte de compensároslo, nos volvieron a limpiar el baño, a pesar de que ya lo habíamos utilizado nosotros.
