Full board meal was excellent.Posted Jul 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall the hotel was good. The full board meals was excellent, definitely worth extra $. Wished if the hotel was right in the beach but within about 2 blocks of walk the beach was there. The room was good but the small refrigerator was not cold enough. It can be very noisy in the streets in the middle of night which I think is typical in most of the Spain. Overall the hotel is nice with excellent meal service and right close to the beach and the town shopping district.

Good, reasonably-priced family hotel.Posted Jun 2, 2013
Pros: Cocktails (teenage daughter). Breakfast (Dad). Nice hot water in the bathroom (fastidious autistic son). Laid-back atmosphere, no yobs (Mum).
Cons: Having to pay to use the indoor pool. 28 euros for an hour for the family is quite a lot.
Location: Convenient. 3 min walk to own beach area (spotlessly clean). 30 secs to supermarket. Italian restaurant by the front door. English bar one min away.
The welcome was very friendly; the receptionist spoke excellent English and was able to answer all our questions. Our room was medium-sized with interconnecting doors to the family extra bed; we had two balconies and particularly appreciated the large bathroom which was well-stocked with fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was superb, with a wide choice of hot and cold options. The half-past ten cutoff point was good if we didn't fancy getting up particularly early. Drinks in the hotel bar were reasonably priced, both for coffee and cocktails. The pool area was immaculately clean and the water was nice and warm. The hotel is conveniently located for beach and local restaurants. There are supermarkets nearby and bus stops are close by. There is a fifteen minute walk to the train station which gives you direct and inexpensive access to Barcelona.

Great staff &premises -need Improove noise controlPosted Apr 12, 2013
Pros: location / great verandah /
Cons: noise control /
Location: near the beach &nice choice of restaurants nearby (Can Miguel nearby worth a visit as well as El llogar Gallego (10 min wlk &pricier but worth it)
hotel staff and ameneties were very good as well as the facilities available to guest The only problem was with the soundproofing of the rooms which did not stop the noise coming from the streets Some guests were not very considerate regarding the noise in their bedrooms which would carry on till early hours either from the TV or aceesing their rooms when they got back late as well as leaving early hour to catch their flight back Would suggest a program or a guest leaflet to make guests aware regarding volume of electronic equipment after social hours, as well as keeping noise levels down when arriving or leaving the hotel at late or early hours of the day to which they are made aware and subject to strong admonition or fines, so as to allow guests of whichever age, to enjoy their sleep or rest

Great for a short stay for my sports eventPosted Oct 5, 2011
Located 2 streets back from the beach this hotel is clean and well kept. It has a nice pool that is in the sun in the afternoon. You can rent beach loungers via the hotel and relax by a beach bar that does nice food and drink at discounted rates for hotel guests. The beach itself is clean apart from the odd cigarette butt! The sea is clear but be cautious with small kids as can soon be out of their depth in just a metre away! Breakfast is average with a standard selection of bufet style cereals, croissants and fruit. The staff are friendly and helpful but I was there late in the season and the hotel was fairly quiet. Now, the down sides!... You cannot park your car at the hotel. Even to un load your suitcases you need to park on a small space by a roundabout for a limited time. You may park in a designated car park 100 metres away but it will cost 10 euros per night! Though the rooms are comfy, the Walls are very thin and noise carries from all around. The tv channels are limited and only Disney was available in English which suited my son but no English speaking news channels available They do however provide free wifi throughout the hotel. Yes, I'd stay there again! Paul.

Good but little entertainmet from 13th sept.Posted Sep 27, 2008
Calella has heavy surf and a steply shelving beach, ie up to your shoulders in 3 steps so it is not good for children. There are much prettier resorts on the Costa Brava
