Not really a four star hotelPosted May 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was affordable however it looks as if the hotel has not been maintained for a long time. The room we were given were not properly aired and we were given a room whereby when we opened the window all we could see was constructions on the other side and dump. The rooms was kept clean though. the breakfast was not great and the staff in the restaurant appeared very upset, not even a greeting from them. The hotel is well located, and we think if they clean it well and upgrade it to a good standard then they can have the four star next to it.

Eat in the bar but don't stay here.Posted May 27, 2013
Pros: Bar Restaurant
Cons: Front Desk Staff was some of the worst I have every dealt with.
Location: On the the front so location was great.
We arrived at 11:00 a.m and I had emailed and called and talked to the staff about our early arrival. I was assured our room would be ready. We paid to have a room with a balcony overlooking the ocean with one full size bed. When we arrived we were told by the lady at the front desk that our room was not ready. I said okay when will it be ready? She replied that check in is 2:00. I explained about my email and phone call and she said :"Well you talked to Expedia and they don't know the hotel rules." I told her that I had not called Expedia, I had called the hotel. I asked if the room was unoccupied and she said yes. I asked if she could have them clean our room first. We were told we would have to wait until 2:00 or we could have a room with 2 single beds now. We took that room instead but were charged the same price as for the bigger bed. In our room, one lamp was twisted sideways and falling off the wall but the room was clean. That night we used the extra blankets because it was cold. The next day they took them out of our room. When we asked about it at the front desk, there was not a positive response but rather ho-hum. The manager did come out and take care of it. The breakfast has gone way down in quality (we've stayed here before) so we ate in the bar each morning and we had lunch there one afternoon. The bar staff was fabulous and the food good. The maid service was good as well. My wife lived 27 years in Lloret so we know the culture & aren't happy.

wonderful breakfast view of the beach,Posted Jan 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
Excellent stay, staff were wonderful, a mix of nations staying, there, bright and friendly, the town center is surrounding the hotel with some nice bars and clubs within easy walking distance, the beach is less than 50 meters away and is very clean, would stay again and again, only down side is the internet access is a bit expensive, when lots of local places do it for free,

lloret de mar at it's bestPosted Jul 25, 2012 on Hotels.com
On the beach front, the Marsol Hotel is close to all the amenities of Lloret, plenty of beach front bars if you like eating and drinking late into the night. Close to the main shopping area, again with restaurants and bars aplenty. We were half board and the standard of food was adequate, if a little bland, with the menu repeated over the 10 nights we stated. Very clean and tidy, rooms were cleaned every day,to a very good standard. Best of all the roof top pool, although small was very welcoming, and mainly usd only byus for the mostpart of our stay. Only downside was the cost of parking in Lloret, and the hotel only has limited spaces allocated in the town's main carpark.
