we just went for a few days break the hotel was everything we wanted would stay there again because its very close to cafes and the old town of girona spain all in all very good

we were delighted with the position of the hotel, just a few steps away from the stone bridge over to the old and beautiful town of girona.

“Great location to base yourself to explore Gerona on foot over 2-3 days”

This pleasant hotel was easy to find - just a 10 minute well lit walk from the bus station with its efficient link service for the airport. The hotel receptionist was very helpful pointing out where we might get drinks/food nearby on our late eveining arrival. Our room was clean, bright and tidy with a sparkling modern bathroom. The downstairs lounge area was clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet looked appealing. Centrally located just a minute from a bridge spanning the river, an ideal base for walking tours to the shops, cafes and restaurants as well as the key tourist venues. Only thing missing we really would have liked was teamaking facilities.

A nice room, a basic but satisfactory breakfast, an excellent location. This hotel was quiet, efficient, clean and well worth it.

The hotel was charming with an excellent location for walking everywhere. The breakfast room was luxurious and the buffet was fabulous with a lovely hostess. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Europe and it was included. The only downside to mention is that the twin beds were very firm - too firm - but the room was beautifully decorated. I'd highly recommend this hotel. Their desk clerk went out of his way to accommodate our special requests which was much appreciated.

“perfect location at a great price”

a very nice clean and friendly hotel located right in the middle of gerona..everwhere is well within walking distance a great walk round the city for the ladies (lots of shops) and some lovelly outdoor restaurants..... the room at the peninsular was for us perfect i couldnt fault it on anything--comfy beds,spacious bathroom and air conditioning.. i cant coment on the breakfasts as we did not eat at the hotel.. after staying here i would definately book here again without a doubt

“Good quality budget hotel”

Surprisingly good quality hotel for a 1 star.Reasonable continental breakfast in pleasant surroundings. Room quite spacious comfortable and tastefully decorated although the plumbing was a little noisy,(from the rooms above).Altogether a very pleasant place to stay for the price

ON THE PLUS COLUMN, CLOSE TO HISTORIC CENTER. ON THE OTHER LEDGER, RECEPTION SERVICE NOT HELPFUL. IF YOU DRIVE, DIFFICULT TO REACH. ALSO, PARKING ABOUT 1/3 MILES AWAY.

“Great value for money.”

Just come back from a 3 night stay in Girona at the Hotel Peninsular. The hotel is so close to the old town, the rooms were very clean, breakfast was really good and the staff were very helpful.
