Not the best of staysPosted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: Was located near the beach and town and a short journey to Port Adventure so did have it's advantages
The room was stock in the 80s and the bed was very uncomfortable. Situated in the centre of town so constant noise from people and the roads.

Poor hotelPosted Aug 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
Rubbish Hotel. If you are even thinking about staying here, DON'T BOTHER, its a dump...! You have to leave 100Euros cash as a deposit which you get back when leaving,(after cleaning your room and emptying your rubbish into communal bins outside the Hotel). They should pay you to put up with it. I have never been to a self catering hotel where you have to pay extra hire charges for a kettle & toaster. The whole place is in dire need of an overhaul, the beds are well worn and the furniture is falling apart. By the way, the noise at 5am when the clubs close is free...!

Great Hotel For the Price - Does the JobPosted Jul 18, 2012 on Hotels.com
Had a great time in Salou and Salou Suite was a convenient hotel close by to all the bars/entertainement, beach, etc. Stayed here with my partner for 6 nights, reception staff are friendly and helpful and we would stay again. Its not top notch (but the rating tells you this) not sure what some people expect for the price, definately not as bad as some of the reviews make out - there's a pool, food/drinks bar and rooms are reasonable for the purpose - what more do you need! Would defo recommend Chaplins (just around the corner) for evening entertainment, had a great time there and loved the Rovers Return bar, food was good there too.

A holifay is what you make it!Posted Jul 4, 2012 on Hotels.com
I have just returned home from my stay here for a week with my bf and we were really surprised at how nice our appartment was! It was a last min holiday and as i had looked at all the bad reviews i was really worried about staying here. When we got to the room it was spotless, we were on the 6th floor and had a huge balcony which we could watch the fireworks from portaventura each night as we had a good view from our room, yes there was no maid service but i wasnt bothered as there was only two of us and we had extra sheets and towels as the room slept four (beds are seating in lounge area). The room is slightly dated but not to a bad extent i certainly didnt think so anyway, i got a great deal on my appartment and believe that there is a lot worse in salou that would have cost a lot more! I think if you go expecting the ritz then you will be dissapointed! As for the location it was great, it is within a 5min walk to the main beach and clubs! The bus stop for portaventura is basically round the side of the entrance and the bus stop where you can arrange a day trip to barcelona or cap salou/tarragona or la pineda is a short walk down the street, there is loads of shops/restaurants and a few bars near by which can be very loud at night but not somthing that bothered me or my partner and we are not into late nights and partying! All in all we had a great weeks holiday and would definitely return to the salou suite again!
