The Little DetailsPosted Sep 27, 2013
Amazing property with the rooftop pool, bar, restaurant. Beautifully decorated and very stylish. Great location to all. But, the service staff especially on the evening bar & restaurant rooftop were very short staffed and rude. Only one waitress for the whole place and bartender never left his bar to help. Several nights we gave up waiting for more than 30 minutes to get even a drink and went else where. They didn't care. Would walk by 4 tables many times and would not even provide a menu or acknowledge people. Rooms were really nice but mine had the same thing I've seen others in here mention and that was the shower leak. Literally the whole bathroom would be flooded and I had to use all my towels to soak up the mess.

Hotel in Good location with excellent staff.Posted Sep 4, 2013
Pros: The staff and the location.
Cons: A full length mirror in the room.
Location: Hotel is one block from the gay beach. 5 minutes to bars/clubs/restaurants/shops. 15min walk to train station which goes to Barcelona.
Having stayed in Sitges on several previous occasions at another more popular hotel we were very pleasantly pleased with the Avenida Sofia Hotel and will defiantly return. The location and staff were great. Large beds and spacious en suites. Sitges is a town that parties well into the early hours and this hotel does have a rooftop bar that plays music until 2am. We were originally in a room on the floor beneath the bar but were moved straight away when we asked for a room on a lowers floor. Great Spa facilities available and a good gym.

Fantastic hotel in a fantastic locationPosted Aug 27, 2013
Pros: The design, friendly staff, lovely breakfast, spacious room, beach towel service.
Location: The location is absolutely perfect. Quiet side road but only 2 min walk from the beach and 3 min walk from all the bars.
I liked absolutely everything about this hotel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room we have stayed in was very spacious and very quiet which is quite hard to achieve in this location. The bar and pool on the 7th floor are spectacular. The maid service was always very discreet and done the second we left the room. I highly recommend this hotel.

New hotelPosted Aug 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
New hotel, good value, some nice touches. Awesome roof top bar. It has a few teething problems with plumbing though, shower leaked into the bathroom etc. Overall though I'll return.

Great Style - less practical.Posted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: Location. Styling.
Cons: Car park. Rooms not practical
Location: Very close to beach. Great location.
This hotel has style, but lacks practicality. The rooms are very attractive with great lighting, colours and accessories. Unfortunately, lack of planning is evident. The shower has nowhere to put shampoo, soap etc, except on the floor. The separation between wet and dry areas is poor with water spilling outside the shower despite our best efforts to prevent it. The floor covering is an unusual synthetic material which must have looked great when new, but is already starting to show wear & tear, despite the hotel only being open for 7 months or so. We had a garden view, so we weren't too fussed with the view. A friend had a 'sea view' room, but since the rooms face the street and not the ocean it's really only 'sea glimpses' if you lean out. Also the very small balconies have been turned into a garden, which is attractive, but some people would prefer the tiny balcony to sit on. No in-room coffee/tea making. There is a car park, but it is accessed via an ELEVATOR for cars. It takes 10 mins to get in or out of the car park and they charge around €20 per night. There is free street parking after hours but it is ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to find a free car park on the street during regular hours. The breakfast was good.

New hotel with lots of potential!Posted Aug 6, 2013
Pros: The spa and breakfast
Cons: Some design features
Location: Very good - 5 minutes walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. Upmarket residential area two blocks from sea front.
This hotel is in a very pleasant upmarket residential location of Sitges about 5 minutes from the beach. It is not a big resort hotel with lots of activities and entertainment and so suited us as a couple well. There are plenty of good quality restaurants and bars close by. Breakfast was very good - not a massive selection but very tasty and the staff were very pleasant and very efficient with replenishing the buffet. We used the spa water circuit which was good fun and very relaxing. The sky bar on the 7th floor is very popular with locals and other tourists from outside the hotel and is worth a visit for cocktails. This is a new hotel and as a result appears to have one or two of what I hope are only 'teething' problems in decoration and room facilities. The shower and toilet area in our first room had loose panelling which meant the toilet door would not close properly - we reported this and received a room change without any problem. The second room was fine. Amongst things that we felt the rooms lacked were seating - only one chair, hooks for towels, a full length mirror, soap - there was shampoo, shower gel etc but not soap! I do hope that the hotel addresses these issues as it could be excellent.

Special Hotel - Highly recommendedPosted Aug 4, 2013
Pros: Décor and finishing
Cons: There were none
Location: Ideal - only 10 minute walk from anything central
From the moment we arrived in the beautiful lobby area we were greeted by the excellent friendly multi lingual staff nothing was too much trouble for them. Excellent boutique hotel with highly trained staff in all areas. We booked for 8 nights and it was perfect. The Pool and restaurant bar on the roof level, the spa on the 2nd lower floor, full car parking - how much more could we want.

Nice hotel good locationPosted Jul 31, 2013
Pros: Great location
Cons: See my comments above
Great location. Great design. Let down by the following: 1. No aircondition in the gym & corridors 2. We stayed 10 days and the breakfast was the same 3. They gave us a room that was below standard although we asked for one with great view. We ended up paying extra to get to one on a higher floor 4. Room was not cleaned properly. We also had to call once for a cleaner to come up and clean it 5. Fridge is too small 6. No balcony to hang our towels / swim gears Overall great hotel but clearly they are not ready for business

Lovely hotel and spa, few minor suggestionsPosted Jul 29, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff, large room, modern decor, beautiful spa
Cons: Minor repairs/maintenance overlooked
Location: Literally about a minute from the beach, but not directly on it if you're expecting stunning sea views (you can see the sea if in a high enough room)
Great hotel with clean, modern design and decor. Staff were also very helpful and exceeded expectations. Spa area (you get 1 free 1.5 hour visit with your stay) was amazing (treatments are extra but the spa with various pools, relaxation area, saunas is included). The roof terrace is also beautiful with it's own pool, bar, and I'm guessing a very rare feature for Sitges. A few minor things I'd say could be improved: 1. Coffee machine in the room but no facilities for tea. As you can't boil water in the former you've no option really. 2. 1 toilet roll and no tissues, so you have to ask when you're running low! 3. Wood veneer covering walls was coming away in several places, which could easily be rectified. 4. Shower cubicle had what appeared to be mould on the ceiling. Very surprising as the shower was otherwise immaculate. Lastly - and this isn't a criticism but information for those considering this hotel - the toilet and shower cubicles have a glass partition between the two and sliding glass doors into the room. The glass is covered (entirely) with a photo but this doesn't give as much privacy as a traditional door. If you require privacy for your bathroom rituals, this may not appeal.
