Dear Hisham. We truly regret that your experience at Portaventura Gold River wasn’t fully pleasant. We regret that our customer service at the reception and the cleaning service didn’t meet your expectations as are one of our main priorities. Please accept our apologies for all the inconvenience you have been caused. We thank you very much your comments around and have noted your suggestions. Regards, PortAventura

Huge hotel in Port Aventura theme park

Posted Sep 8, 2013
Pros: Proximity to the theme park. Large outdoor swimming pool.
Cons: It is expensive but then all of these theme park resorts are. Get there early and make the most of the park facilities etc.
Location: Direct access to Port Aventura. No other reason to stay there unless you are vsiting the park.
So the reason you're thinking of staying here is because you're going to visit the theme park, right? Under those circumstances it is the perfect hotel; Wild West theme, direct access to Port Aventura (this appears to be the closest of the resort hotels to the park), plenty of space after the hustle and bustle of the rides, great pools and just all round Disney-like atmosphere. Our kids (8 & 6) loved every aspect of it. The rooms are clean and comfortable with TV and a fridge (good for putting your own drinks in as everything on the resort itself is super expensive). Breakfast buffet is immense with plenty of choice. Worth noting is that while you cannot check in to your room until about 3pm, you can park up at the hotel and get entrance to the theme park from 10am. This means you get 2 full days of park access for every one night's accommodation.

Lovely hotel, close proximity to resort.

Posted Aug 24, 2013
Pros: Quite comfortable, easy/free wifi access and close to resort.
Cons: All quite satisfactory!
Location: 3 swimming pools, kids games room and direct access to porta Ventura resort.
Hotel staff were very helpful. Quite approachable and had very good communication skills. Excellent buffet meals. We booked for breakfast only, so found dinner quite expensive, lovely range of food though.

Great place to stay at Port Aventura

Great room, clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful. Our room had 2 double beds big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Pools are huge with plenty of lounge chairs. Location is great for getting into Park, back entrance just for hotel is just 3 min away. So you can walk back and forth to rides from hotel as often as you like. Only draw back is that this hotel is on back end of Park away from main entrance and trams into Salou. But cabs were available to go into Salou easily. We would stay there again in a minute.
