“A wonderful and beautiful Hotel with great service, food and amenities”

I would reccomend this hotel to couples with small children (10 and under) or just couples but not teenagers bc there aren't activities for them. We loved it and would return. The Manager, Alessandro was wonderful!

“Hotel Marinedda”

A week by the sea in the sun with great food. It can feel a bit like Butlin's at the buffet but the range, quality and quantity of the dinner buffet were really great. There is an alternative waiter restaurant but it isn't as much fun. Really good, friendly & helpful staff. We spent most days on the beach, sun beds under an umbrella, toasting gently and this was late September. If this is not what you want to do you would need a car but for 6/7 days the hotel has what you need, 2 pools with lots of free beds and umbrellas. Italian, French and German as well as English guests. We used the Hotel transfer to & from Olbia airport as it was the cheapest we could find. We would go again like a shot but had too many desserts and wonderful Sardinian wines all in the name of curiosity.

“Ideal break for couples”

This was our Silver Wedding celebration and it was perfect. The staff were both helpful, courteous and hardworking. We stayed half-board and this was ideal. Breakfast was a choice of everything from cereal (with yoghurt topping), to pastries, cold meat/cheese or a proper cooked meal (bacon, egg, tomato and sausage - well chopped frankfurter). They even had a chef on standby to make a omlette if that was what was required. The chalet style rooms gave you a sense of freedom and independence. And the pools were attractive (if not a little too cold in October to try). A walk through the site took you to a beach, which had pretty exhilerating waves (not for non or not very strong swimmers). It's a good base to travel up or down the coast to other (safer) bays and the countryside is fantastic. In the evening they had a talented musician (keyboard and guitar) who cleverly had accompaniment from a computer.

“This hotel was FANTASTIC”

This hotel is a fantastic choice if you want to be spoilt and have a relaxing holiday, with great food, fantastic staff, great facilities and lovely grounds. Our room (121) had a fantastic sea view across the bay and had fantastic sunset views. Look out for the family of wild boars which we saw a few times from our balcony! The room was an extremely clean room and in excellent condition. It has a lovely large balcony with a small table and 3 chairs; Again in very good condition. The air conditioning in the room was effective and very, very quiet so it could be kept on all night if required. The only down side to the room was the bed. Although it was very, very comfortable, every time one of use moved, it creaked and woke me up. Beach There is a lovely long stretch of beach. It was busy when we were there but the hotel has its own private stretch that you pay 12 euros for 2 loungers and parasol, but well worth it. From the upper section of the hotel to the beach is a bit of a slog as the hotel is built on an incline but if you are feeling tired or lazy, there is a regular electric buggy that will take you and bring you back! We flew from the UK and into Alghero. The transfer took around 1 hour 15 minutes and 120 euros each way. This may but a few people off, but I would ask you to consider booking your hotel and flights separately to save money allowing you to visit.

“A great hotel in a most attractive location.”

A first class hotel, well worthy of its 4S star rating. The food is excellent, even in the main buffet style restaurant, but with two other table service restaurants normally available. Regrettably one was closed during our stay due to inclement weather. The staff were particularly helpful, and all areas of the hotel were kept spotlessly clean. Isola Rossa is small with a couple of supermarkets, and a few bars and restaurants,but well worth the short walk over the headland. Whilst the hotel is a great place to chill out and soak up the Sardinian sun dont overlook the mountains a short drive inland and the town of Tempio Pausania

“Isola Rossa Hotel”

The Hotel Marinedda provided a relaxing escape. My boyfriend and I arrived in the second week of May so the hotel was quiet and the nearby beach was isolated. The hotel website gave an extremely accurate view of the grounds and restaurants so look at that. The staff were extremely friendly, our room was very clean and the whole place was peaceful. Food wise, the evening buffet was varied, tasty and plentiful though by the end of the week it was a relief to use the hotel table service restaurant at no extra cost. My only criticism is that because the hotel was not really near anything, the evenings did feel a little isolated at times, so if you prefer lively surroundings this place probably is not for you. Also, it is preferable to have a car to drive to the nearest restaurants and shops in the evening as the 10-15 minute walk is along a road with no sidewalk.
