Family friendly hotel close to a great beachPosted Nov 4, 2013
We are a family of 4 that stayed here for 7 nights. Staff were friendly, helpful. Hotel is clean and at a good location. Supermarket and beach are not far away at all. Breakfast is decent. Although it would be good to have a kettle for boiling water , making tea etc. You will need a car to explore other beaches. Restaurant in the hotel is a bit pricey for everyday dinner. Plus it feels a bit too formal to go with kids (if you know what I mean!) but there is a family friendly restaurant nearby that serves good food.

Lovely hotelPosted Oct 9, 2013
Pros: Clean, tidy and quiet.
The hotel was lovely and the staff were very helpful. There was a shuttle bus that went to the local beach which was free and came in handy. As we went at the end of season it almost felt like we were at a private hotel and we enjoyed ourselves. A very relaxing holiday, much enjoyed.

Pleasant stayPosted Oct 7, 2013
Very friendly and helpful staff from the front desk thought to the dinning room waiters and the cleaning staff. Rooms cleaned every day towels changed. Plenty of choice at breakfast, coffee really good. 10 minutes from airport there is a bus route which goes passed the hotel into Olbia. Few eating places within walking distance. A car would be an advantage to get about as very quiet area. Nice beach crystal clear water couple of minute by car shuttle bus from hotel available. All in all a very good experience would recommend for a relaxing time

Nice hotel with pool and gardenPosted Oct 2, 2013
Pros: The pool and garden
Location: Olbia is great for a nice dinner and the beach (not the most local one) is amazing!
A great little hotel for the price and location. Lovely garden and pool. The local beach is a short walk, but it is hidden so have a look and follow the signs to the marina. We didn't have a car but the bus into town was fine and then had the hotel arrange a shuttle back from Oblia. The free shuttle to the beach is easy and great. Local resutrants are limted, but the two outside of the hotel are great. My only down point was breakfast as it was limited and not that great...but what do expect for a breakfast at this cost per night! The hotel coffee shop and restuart are nice and in general staff are helpful and it is a very clean hotel.

Hotel Speraesole August 2013Posted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: Cleanliness, wonderful pool, lots of sunloungers, good breakfast variety, big fridges in the room!
Cons: We would have benefited from a slightly larger room for three.
Location: There are a couple of small supermarkets, but several lovely, authentic Italian restaurants serving great fish dishes/pizzas. Small local beach near
My Mum, sister and I enjoyed six nights in Hotel Speraesole in August 2013. The hotel, the pool and the breakfast facilities were all lovely. The reception staff (with especial thanks to the very helpful Federica with incredible English), and the breakfast/dining staff were very friendly and polite. We asked for a room overlooking the pool which is well worth the supplementary charge. Unfortunately our room was a little small for three, but it was always clean and the air-con made for a comfortable stay. The hotel is situation in a small village called Murta Maria which contains amazing local restaurants. The location in a quieter venue suited us, and we were pleased to see Olbia as a day trip rather than stay there. The hotel provide a free shuttle to the local beach and you can pay for more extended trips. We visited a vineyard using this service which made Sardinia more accessible for a party without a car. We also used the bus service to Costa Smerelda. Getting there was great (and very prompt according to the bus timetable). However, do check the time of the last bus home! A lovely island, awesome food and wine, and a great hotel.

comfortable hotel with lovely gardensPosted Sep 6, 2013
Cons: Rooms were never serviced till mid afternoon
Location: Directly on busy road at the front. Nothing to do near by. A car would have been useful.
We upgraded to room with balcony after 2 days. Wish we had been offered this option when we booked. We would also like to have been given the option of half board. However, things were generally good though we would have preferred to be nearer to the beach. Hotel ran a shuttle to beach 3 times each day but this involved staying there for 2 ,3 or 5 hours We liked the good supply of comfortable loungers and plenty of shade available at the hotel..

Good hotel for familyPosted Aug 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Nice hotel, easy to find, good local beaches, but best to have a hire car as not that many restaurants and facilities in immediate vicinity and better beaches a drive away. Pool area great, gardens well tended, room very clean, breakfast okay. Would have been nicer if pool towels provided . Overall great, stayed for 2 weeks, used as a base for touring and would happily stay again.

Great hotel with a fantastic pool.Posted Aug 13, 2013
Pros: Beautiful gardens, great pool, amazing food and helpful/friendly staff.
Cons: Hotel situated on a busy road so pay extra to upgrade to garden/pool/sea view room.
Location: Quiet location only 10 min drive from Olbia Airport. Murta Maria only has a few supermarkets and restaurants.
Hotel is situated in the quiet village of Murta Maria, only 10 mins drive from Olbia Airport. We paid extra and upgraded to a triple room with pool/garden/sea view - definitely worth it. As there are only a couple of local restaurants, we decided to change to half board at the hotel and the food was amazing. Eating out is expensive so the half board option at 15 euros per person is really good value. The hotel provides a free beach shuttle to Porto Istana beach which you need to pre-book each day. The beach is lovely but very busy and expensive to hire sunbeds/parasols. There is also this constant stream of people selling anything from handbags to jewellery. The hotel pool and garden area is lovely with lots of sunbeds and very quiet, even in August. The pool is perfect for young families as it includes a toddler/baby area which is shallow. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and the reception staff are extremely helpful. You do need to hire a car to see more of the island as public transport is limited. We did take a bus to San Teodoro which is worth a visit but buses are only every 2 hours and once on board the drivers tend not to stop even when you have rang the bell - beware! We would recommend Hotel Speraesole to families, couples, solo travellers who are looking for a quiet location but still close to a beach and just want to relax, enjoy really good food and soak up the sunshine!

Great hotelPosted Aug 5, 2013
Pros: Food, gardens. pool
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: Very handy for airport and exploring the north east of Sardinia. Not much within walkin distance
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Air conditioning in one of our rooms wasn't working and it was fixed within a couple of hours. The pool area was lovely and quiet - freshwater pool and beautiful gardens to sit in. We ate in the restaurant 2 nights and the food was delicious - the seafood fixed menu banquet was very good value and absolutely delicious. There aren't too many places to walk to from the hotel so a car is essential for getting about the island. The hotel however is only 10 minutes from the airport (we didn't notice any noise from planes at all) and about 30 to 40 minutes from Costa Smeralda. All together a great holiday and we would definitely return to this hotel.

Nice for a single traveller on her ownPosted Aug 4, 2013
Pros: the sea view, the food, my room, and the pool
For me Speraesole is a gem of a hotel. I found it beautiful and unpretentious. For an extra 20 euros I upgraded my room and got a terrific sea view from the comfortable balcony. The hotel is nice and close to Olbia airport - they offer a shuttle service (for a fee) and has all the comforts of the 4 star hotel that it is. The room is great, the shower good and the bed very comfortable. There is a bar area at the front of the hotel serving deserts, drinks and snacks and a wonderful pool-side restaurant. I went alone and had an excellent and enjoyable stay.
