We have just returned from a week at the above hotel and to give it a 4 star rating is a laugh. The paint was peeling off the room walls due to damp and the shower door was broken and thus did not close properly. The shower tray could have done with a good clean and the colour of the sealing was definitely not white. There was no al la carte restaraunt and the breakfast was a basic continental with no options. Even the orange juice dispenser ran out but the staff could not be bothered to refill it. While we accept that we went at the end of the season we did expect better and we found it was best to go out in the morning and come back in the evening in time to out for dinner. The reception staff were the best thing about this hotel. See tripadvisor.com for additional.

The Hotel is incorrectly marketed as a small, quiet hotel comprising of 23 rooms, however in reality it is just one building of many on a huge complex. The complex, Horse Country, is very busy and very noisy, the only thing I can liken it too is a cross between Butlins and a club 18-30 which is not what you want if you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday.
Externally the complex appears well maintained however internally it is very shabby.
The room was very tired looking, the shower leaked into corridor, the mirror was taped up with masking tape, the bed base was filthy and we did not dare to check the matrress!
The room had a damp mouldy smell with antiquated air conditioning which was noisy and made no difference at all to the room temperature..
The food was second rate yet expensive and had the feel of a school canteen.
The beach was OK, sea quite murky but any peace and quiet was shattered by daily disco's on the beach.
Loud music continued each evening until approximately 3am making sleep impossible.

What we wanted was a quiet, relaxing break and this hotel delivered just that. As a previous reviewer commented the location is puzzling, but apparently, the owner owned that piece of land and decided to build her dream there. We went mid July and expected it to be busy, however, it was really quiet (it was meantioned ferry prices from mainland Italy have increased dramatically; so that's impacted trade). As such, there were days when it was only us by the pool; made us feel like we were at private villa with personal staff on hand. My only constructive comments would be that the sound proofing between rooms wasn't the best, but wasn't so bad that it bothered us and the breakfast selection was slightly limited. However, that said, the hotel has been designed beautifully, the staff were fabulous and I left feeling truly refreshed and determined to leave feedback for the first time ever!
