A good base for exploring Arcachon bayPosted Aug 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed for 4 nights. The hotel is relatively basic but good value as Arcachon is generally quite pricey. The hotel is in Arcachon Port which has some nice restaurants nearby and it is about 20 minutes walk from the town centre. We hired bikes for the duration of our stay which we would thoroughly recommend as a great way to explore the town and the whole bay of Arcachon. Very friendly staff, free parking and they even secure bike storage!

Old fashioned hotel, but a good locationPosted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: The Breakfast! Great value, and great quality.
Cons: The bathroom was terrible. Extremely old fashioned, no shower curtain and old towels.
Location: It's a good location. Close to restaurants and the beach.
The hotel is extremely old fashioned. The decor is a homage to the 1970s! If you can get passed that, it's a great location, very close to the sea front, and a 5 minute walk to the beach. Also only 20 minutes to the main area for restaurants. The breakfast was very good. Very fresh and well prepared.

Clean and comfortablePosted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, reasonable price.
Cons: Room needed modernized
Location: Bit far out of town but lovely to walk around the marina.
Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Room was at front of hotel with a balcony - this was a nice surprise as I had only booked a basic room. The room was clean but in need of updating - dark brown tiles in the bathroom and swirly Artex on the walls. Only a hand held shower with the bath. No tea/coffee making facilities which was a shame. The hotel is located beside the marina and it was a brisk 20 minute walk along the seafront to the city centre. However there are also some shops and restaurants nearby. There is a small local bus which goes past the hotel but unfortunately this does not run on a Sunday. Hotels in Arcachon are expensive and this hotel is a more affordable option than the more central ones. However it was a bit of a thought having to walk all the way back during the day then go out again in the evening when transport options are limited.

Good hotelPosted Jun 1, 2014
We had a 3 night break. The hotel is in a quieter area away from the main drag. Our room was a superior. It was good, clean and comfortable. The room was recently refurbished, they could do with updating other parts of the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Le Nautic experiencePosted Jul 1, 2013
Nice hotel in good location, although a good walk into the centre of the village, plenty of bars and restaurants close by. A good base to explore the coast, with excellent beaches and just over an hour by car or train into Bordeaux. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, with the rooms kept clean and tidy.

A room from the 1970s...Posted May 14, 2013
Pros: Free wifi that worked
Cons: Everything about the room
Location: OK, but at the harbour end of Arcachon when the "action" is at the other end of town
This hotel is in desperate need of an overhaul of its rooms, furniture and common areas. There is thick, discoloured artex on the walls of the rooms and the corridors. The room was dark, it had chipboard shelves with chipped and cracked vinyl covering and concertina steel doors to the wardrobe. Other furniture was tarnished and scratched dark wood. The sheets were very thin through overuse and heavily starched. The bathroom had no shower, and was tiled in dark brown 1970s tiles. The Lino on the floor was a nicotine colour. The staff were OK and as helpful as could be expected, there is free car parking on site, and the free wifi worked (unlike some other places claiming to offer this service). However, nowhere near enough positives to overcome the unacceptable standard of the room.
