Great overnight stopPosted Jan 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
A very comfortable room - even with four people. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We changed our booking and this was no trouble for them. A restaurant is on site and there is a supermarket just down the street. Free wifi and free parking.

Great value for money. Easy to find, super location when getting across France and wanting a quick stop off near Dijon. Front of house lady really helpful.

only stay here if you are absolutely desparate.Posted Aug 18, 2013
Location: Dijon France
I requested a non smoking room, the room I was given absolutely stunk of smoke, when I asked for the room to be changed the lady on the reception said that she would spray some perfume in the room and that would be ok. I said that this would not be ok and that I needed another room, she did not want to change the room, I stood my ground firmly but politely and said that if they could not change the room then I would have a refund and go else where. I was then offered another room, it was not particularly nice, but at least it did not have an overpowering smell of smoke. There was no apology from the hotel, and the attitude of the lady on reception was somewhat could not care less. This hotel is definitely not a 3 star, I would be hard pushed to even give it 1 star.

A great place to break a journey through FrancePosted Aug 13, 2013
Pros: The hotel was clean, very good value and the staff were excellent
Cons: In truth we do not have any issues with the hotel, therefore nothing to enter here.
Location: The location is ideal; just off the motorway.
We travelled from Mougins near Cannes in the Cote d'Azur and arrived 40 minutes before reception was about to close at 10.00 p.m. The receptionist was very welcoming, professional and took her time to help us. We had a meal in the restaurant which was excellent and the waitress was very attentive. The breakfast was good and I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and we will certainly visit again in future.

DISAPPOINTINGPosted Jul 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Through no fault of the hotel there were roadworks all around so we had terriblle trouble finding a way into the hotel. Putting that to one side the hotel was on the main road in an unattractive area. We changed from staying at the Campanile because the Balladines had a swimming pool, however, this turned out to be tiny and of little use to us. The restaurant was closed the night we stayed and there was not even a vending machine to get a snack, We walked to the village which was 10 minutes walk away where everything was also closed but found a tiny little pizza bar where we managed to buy pizza and take back to the hotel. Overall it was a disappointing and depressing overnight stop. You would do far better to stay at either Nuits-St-George or Cevrey Chambertin, two delightful wine villages, no more than 10 miles away that had lots of nice hotels in the surrounding areas. Five minutes drive from the hotel was a large industrial complex that had some restaurants but not the nicest of places to be. This was where the Campanile was positioned so don't stay there.

Location: quite hard to find
Nice hotel, but quite hard to find. Good size rooms. Located close to the supermarkets and food places.
