Fabulous find
Fabulous find, booked as a stop off on the way to Calais, minutes from the motorway. 15 min walk in to town, but lots of amenities close by. Recently renovated to a great standard, beds were super comfortable & had everything we needed for a short stay, including a very nice continental breakfast.

1 night stop on our way to Nice. Very friendly staff, as well if we arrived later, we called them and they provide us with the code to access the property and explained how to find the key for our room. Nice breakfast in the morning to start the day. Will definitely recommend them for the price.

Motel - ok for one night
We arrived at the hotel and were disappointed to find it situated in a semi industrial area. The room was clean but pretty small overlooking the car park and road. The room was surprisingly quiet with the shutters closed. We didn’t know the area and when we asked at reception, were given no helpful information about where we could find a place to eat as it was 9pm on a Saturday night. We ended up at a very average diner style restaurant. The next day we discovered that Beune town centre was situated quite close in the other direction with amazing places to eat and drink. This was disappointing as we felt we had wasted an opportunity to see a beautiful town with amazing history.

We could not get internet or WiFi in our rooms because we were told they were too far from the source. We had to go down the hall to use it. Also we only had 4 channels on tv. We were very disappointed in the hotel. Rooms are too small

It is a cheap hotel which is comfortable. There are no staff on duty at night and a number of us had issues with the security system. Arrived back from our meal and our code wouldn't let us in. Rang the emergency number only to get a recorded message. Fortunately one guest had gone out for a takeout and his wife let us, along with several other guests, in (but we had waited over 20 mins). The next day the staff told me I hadn't rung the right number (so I showed them my call log) & then said I hadn't been putting the right code number in. Several guests came to my support so they had to concede the lock was faulty and said they would look into why my calls hadn't been answered. It is very noisy and if you shut the windows, the ac is unacceptably loud.

Nice hotel but in industrial side of town.
Overall this was a reasonable hotel but was in not very nice part of town. Service was good and very small rooms. No A/C and electricity was intermittent overnight which turned off the fan. Wi-fi was almost non-functional.

Hotel Alesia is in a perfect location for exploring Beaune. The staff were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond, it had a delightful garden and continental breakfast. The only drawback was that the bed was a bit hard but it was perfect for a 2 night stay on a budget.

On a pretty busy street leading into Beaune. You will need to drive downtown but it is nice and clean with a good breakfast.

Pretty hotel for 1-2 nights and well -situated.
We only stayed 1night but we had very spacious rooms. Be warned: no air-conditioning, so very stuffy with temperatures over 35 degrees C.

Not worth the money - avoid at all costs.
The place seemed OK at the first glance, however there were several problems: first, the receptionist failed to provide Internet access codes on arrival, and as we went out for a dinner and returned after the reception was closed, we couldn't connect until the morning after. Second, the hotel is located at the junction, so sleeping with windows open means waking up at about 5:30am, when cars and HGV's start passing it. Third, the AC unit in the room was so old and worn that it produced the noise of a departing jet, so having it on at night was not an option, too. Fourth, the equipment is badly worn, adjusting shower temperature is almost impossible. The free parking is a nice bonus though, given the location and the distance to the city center is about a mile or so.

Hello, The wifi is gived on ask. Not every people used it. When you arrive, the receptionnist give you the key and explain you the hotel closed at 10.00PM. The hotel own two different parking. The center is to 10 min to walk of the hotel, it's 1 kilometer.

Very nice stay
Nice small hotel with friendly staff, nice room, good wifi, parking available, shower wasn't great - but standard with most European hotels. Walking distance to center, 10-15min. Breakfast available though did not purchase.

Very friendly hotel staff, they were happy to give me some information about the town. The hotel is very close to the city center, only 10 minutes away walking. No reason to pay for a closer hotel.

Comfortable stay.
Room was comfortable size and so was bed. Shower was larger than most and also comfortable. Parking was secure and hotel was convenient for short drive to town center where parking was easily available. A little tricky to find since attached restaurant is in front and access road can be easily passed. Otherwise a very good value.

A Gem as Base To Explore Beaune
This is a lovely and fine hotel. Upon noticing my friends and I having many luggages, Sarah the receptionist gave us a room on the ground floor. She was amazing and attended to all our requests. This hotel is strategically located and there is a supermarket just opposite it. However, beware that the supermarket and most shops are closed on Sunday. The bathroom is spacious and the room is very comfortable.

Convenient location with parking
We only stayed the one night but our room was clean, the bathroom was clean and the bed and pillows were quite adequate. Parking was free and was gated so that was nice. We didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on that. Wifi was also good and free.

Very disappointed in Hotel Alesia
Tiny room, no where to sit apart from bed room was totally souless. The worst part was the room rate. we paid Expedia 60GBP and found that the room rate off the street was 60EURO, and I thought Expedia was supposed to offer a better rate than normal not dearer! Lucky for us we were booked for 1 night only and fell into bed exhausted. Would not choose this place again though. Very nice receptionist on checkin.

Good basic stopover hotel

Basic hotel in wine country
This hotel is quaint and has some cute touches. Rooms are updated but very small (barely enough room to change in the bathroom) and no air-conditioning (we did find a fan in the closet that saved us overnight). It's located outside the main town of Beaune, right on the main street that leads to the highway - which was a plus for us - as we were leaving early to get back on the road. The price was reasonable, but the check-in staff were not particularly friendly. And breakfast is not included. All in all, a basic barely three-star accommodations, manageable if you need a (warm) place to sleep in a beautiful wine-producing region, but nothing special.

First of all, it's cute, clean, and sweet hotel and good position if you want to visit Beaune. Besides, it's so interesting that the whole room decorate with “Marilyn Monroe”. (Maybe most of visitor may not used to it.) However, some weakness should be notice, such as, the room is quite small, no elevator, probably no air condition, but I really consider is good value and you should think about it.

Lovely hosts, very helpful, lady speaks English which in France is refreshing for small hotels like this. Gentleman could not be more helpful (doesn't speak any English but somehow that doesn't matter) Short walking distance (10 mins) into town which is charming and with good restaurants Good camera surveillance on car park locked at night but they'll give you a code to get in and out. Small room is small, great for one but go up a level if two. Internet works well, is free although could not stream music video etc - good enough for email etc. Overall we would stay there again happily

The hotel is on the edge of Beaune, France. Very nice family run small hotel. The staff were wonderfull telling us about the town and tourist facilities. We walked into town and had a great evening including dinner. I recommend the hotel and the town of Beaune

NIce place to stay
We stayed here for one night in July 2011. The hotel was basic but clean. It is about a two minute drive from the old Beaune city center. There is no elevator if you need one. The room was good size and a good shower. There is free parking in the lot in front of the hotel.

Great for a stopover
The hotel Alesia is less than 1km off the autoroute and 10 mins walk from the centre of Beaune, making it an ideal spot for a mid journey stopover. The owners and their staff were very friendly and couldnt do enough for you. The rooms were clean and tidy, if a little tight for space. The continental breakfast breakfast was very good and the owner ensured you had more than enough to start the day.

Comfortable family-run hotel
We actually had 2 different rooms over our 4 night stay. The first was the double room with bath. And the second was the double room with shower. The bath room was in the front of the hotel and was large, bright (2 windows) and very comfortable - however, it was a bit louder. The shower room was smaller and darker (only one window), but it was quiet and still very nice. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The best part about this hotel is the owners. They are a sweet couple who take pride and joy in their work. They are friendly and helpful. They also have a bar with outside seating, which is great since there is really nothing in the area. They also have free parking. If you don't mind walking into town (about 15 min), this is an ideal location and we would definitely stay here again.

We checked into the hotel at check-in time, around 4 PM. We did not take too much notice of a plumbing truck in the parking lot. We were shown our room by a nice young woman. A bit later we started to hear hammering and banging. It appeared to be coming from the room next door. That night we noticed there was no hot water. When I mentioned this to the room maid the next morning, she said :"It is not our fault." More banging and clanging had been going on since 8 AM.....later we understood that there was a problem and that it existed when we checked in!!!It was not restored until late afternoon!!! The hotel was a sweet place, but why were we not informed at check-in, or offered some kind of compensation?

Great for the price
Used the hotel as a stopover on the way to Paris but had a very nice stay. The owners made us feel very welcome and directed us to a good restaurant that we could take our 2 year old to. Our room was nice and clean and had recently been decorated. It wasnt in the centre of Beanue but we had our car and were able to pop into the centre in only a few mins.
