A hotel with a swimming pool

Posted Jun 13, 2014
Pros: Good parking, reception and rooms appropriate to the tariff.
Cons: A greater selection of English channels on the TV
Location: On the outskirts of Dijon near to shopping, fuel and within a few minutes' drive of Dijon centre. The centre has convenient underground parking.
Excellent reception staff, English speaking. Restaurant staff for dinner - service slow, lost the bill, I had to chase them twice to get to sign it and they had to search to find it. They did not appear to be bothered by it nor to be attentive to us as their customers.

Near restaurants but too far from main city

Posted May 25, 2014
Pros: Staff, food and bed.
Cons: Cheaper breakfast!
Location: Restaurants, big supermarket.
The man who checked us in and out was very friendly. The bed was comfortable, we slept very well. The breakfast was tasty, especially the pastries and sausages.

Hotel was fine

Posted Oct 10, 2013
We needed the air conditioner but it was turned off for the season. Lighting in room was inadequate. No elevator and stairs needed recarpeting. Breakfast was good. Coffee good. We stayed 3 nights.

A Family Hotel

Posted Sep 30, 2013
Pros: It's a family hotel. Kids don't get bored because you have plenty of things to offer.
Cons: I can't think of anything.
Our stay in Novotel Dijon had been a fantastic experience. The hotel is very nice and and staff are friendly and helpful. We always book our holiday with Novotel because of the excellent service they offer specially to families. Kids feel at home with Novotel. The hotel is very safe for children and they can play around with the play area and xbox provided. Internet and computers are readily available to use. The staff were always ready to help as much as they can with any problem you have. Our experience had been excellent. I will proudly recommend your hotel to our friends.

Overnight success

Posted Sep 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is one of the more modest establishments in the Novotel network but does its job well as an overnight stop between the Channel and the Mediterranean. The unimposing two story grey concrete building with a fading logo belie an efficient front desk, ample parking, good internet access, well-presented public areas and a small but pleasant open air pool which was welcome on a hot day in Burgundy. The room was basic but clean and neat although overall the hotel looks rather tired and in need of the refurbishment that it may never get as a rather marginal unit in the Accor empire. Having been disparaging about Novotel restaurants elsewhere, I have to report that this one performed well both at dinner and breakfast: nothing spectacular but enjoyable food well prepared and served with a smile and unusual efficiency.

Good Hotel "But"

Posted Aug 30, 2013
Pros: The breakfast, beautifully presented and very good choice.
Cons: The cleanliness of the bedrooms especially the toilets.
Location: It was in an excellent location, about 7 miles from marseille town and 10 minutes from the beautiful village of Cassis, the beaches are fantastic.
The hotel was very good, staff were friendly and spoke good english, the breakfast was "amazing" really really nice and so much choice. The hotel was well equipped with lovely out door pool which was cleaned every morning and plenty of sunbeds, it also had a cafe area in the hotel entrance, which was nice! Here comes the "but" the bedroom itself was filthy, i found sweets on the floor under the table and the toilet was very smelly and clearly had not seen bleach in a long time, a shame as everything else was great.

We used this hotel as a stop over traveling from Uk to Italy, it was clean comfortable and staff were all very friendly and helpfull. From staying at this hotel as our first stop we then went on to book our other stops at Novotels.

Excellent air conditioning in bedroom, simple to adjust and effective. Hotel breakfast was excellent, with good range of options. Swimming pool was rather cold.
