Great hotel attached to a golf club.

Pros: Lovely food, attentive staff, comfy beds.
Cons: Bathrooms could do with an update (clean but fittings and paint starting to look a little tired). But I'm being picky; for the price it is excellent!
Location: Between Purley and Coulsdon, quiet residential area. 10 mins drive to shops and other restaurants. Not easy walking distance.
Very nice hotel, excellent service, food unpretentious but extremely well prepared and served.

Short stay at Coulsdon Manor Hotel
Posted Jan 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Room was comfortable and clean. Bar area was OK but there wasn't much choice on the food menu. However the food I ordered was good and nicely presented on the plate. Gym was OK. Equipments were old and in need of repairs. Area where the Hotel is, was quite and clean. Overall a very reasonable hotel for the price.

Long way from Sutton
Posted Jan 24, 2012 on Hotels.com
As other readers have pointed out this is a very tired hotel. My room had the shower tap missing and the kettle removed. The breakfast was lovely although they need some background music - you'll see why. Biggest pain for me was the distance from Sutton. It seemed quite close but took 45mins- £22 taxi to get to the station in the morning.

Breakfast in bed is the way forward
Posted Jan 7, 2012
I stayed on 5/11/12 and have no complaints whatsoever. Sure the decor is a bit tired but so what, the room was clean and tidy. I stay a lot at various Premier Inns (on business) and fancied a change so I chose this place attracted by it's history/character. What I loved: Free Wifi in the bedroom, water filled radiator with TRV so I could have it as hot as I wanted (I hate electric wall/ceiling heaters as they give me a sore throat), breakfast delivered on a tray which I had in bed, room service who delivered hot chocolate to my room at 10pm. Yes I will be going back.

Not what it should be
Posted Jan 1, 2012 on Hotels.com
I felt the web site made the hotel look far better than it actually is. The hotel is looking very tired, and in need of decoration as was my room. Not very pleased to be woken at 5am by the bins being emptied in the loading bay area under my bedroom window. The sports facility no way looks like the web site and is more like a community sports centre. Sauna not working and a long way from a SPA venue your site says they have.

Lovely old character building, lots of charm. Room comfortable and clean, food good and staff pleasant, overall a good hotel, lovely gardens with golf course. Would stay again.
