We arrived late and where greeted promptly. Room was nice but not fancy. Appreciate that there was a big counter in the bathroom.

A surprising value

Posted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: The beds are remarkably comfortable, among the best I have ever slept on. And the showers are great, plenty of water and water pressure.
Cons: The hours of the buffet could be open longer. There seems to be an issue with the drain plumbing, the sink and shower gurgle when draining.
Location: Good location but unless you gamble there isn't much there. It's close to downtown Omaha but there isn't a lot to do at the hotel.
I love this hotel, the rooms are not super big but I can always count on a very comfortable stay there. I use it for business travel when visiting Omaha. It's really easy to get to from the airport and the facility is very well kept. I can get to downtown Omaha in about 6 minutes in the morning. A great value for the money and always a highlight of my visits there.

The front desk staff was excellent! Friendly and quite helpful. Room was clean but smelled like stale smoke even though non-smoking room. Probably can't be avoided in a casino hotel.

Bad experience.

Posted Dec 27, 2014
Pros: The rooms were very nice and the bed was very comfortable.
Cons: The pet policy.
Was very disappointed with our stay. My husband and I were woke up by a dog barking in the room next to ours on Christmas morning. We called the front desk to report this and they sent security up but nothing was done about it. The dog continued to bark for the next two hours we called the front desk once again and that is when they told us that dogs were allowed in the hotel. We decided to leave as we could not take the barking anymore. When we checked out they asked us how our stay was and we told them that we felt like we were in a dog kennel and not a hotel. We received no apology. As we were leaving the motel you could hear the dog barking on the outside of the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel if you want a good night sleep. My recommendation to the hotel manager is to have a floor designated to those people who bring their dogs with them.

Great rooms, but casino is showing its age

Posted Dec 24, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable mattresses on their beds!!
Cons: Ventilation for the smoke-factor in the casino area
Location: Location is right on the riverfront; nearby casinos include their sister property (Horseshoe) and Ameristar
This Harrah's property has amazingly comfortable rooms and superplush mattresses for a great night's sleep! Too bad the gaming area itself is really showing its age despite remodeling (older machines, and VERY smoky). There is a free shuttle that runs all hours to their sister property nearby (Horseshoe) which had much more appealing gaming areas and was far less smoky (or at least had better ventilation to deal with the smokiness).

Is the price RIGHT

Pros: Valet Services and Housekeeping
Cons: A to Z Council Bluffs
Location: GREAT LOCATION 5 mins to the OLD MARKET in Omaha......................... Sports Complex
This hotel is better than sleeping in a barn. For the time of the year I think a barn would be better. The location is dead, the front desk is ice cold (FROZEN). I could have had a happier stay in the woods. The best item was the Valet Services, these guys are the backbone to hotel. High energy and courtesy every time. Yes I know it was winter time but still the Hotel staff (Front Desk) could have shown a warmer touch. Food buffet was a joke, the roast beef was served in brick condition dry, over cooked as compared to the normal thin and juicy. So the best thing was the KING bed, boring sleep and sad dreams.

There was road construction so the hotel was a little hard to get to but the stay was very pleasant. The room was clean and very nice. I would definitely stay again!
