“Concert Cove”

We came to town for a concert at the Stir Concert Cove at Harrah's Casino and we took the hotel shuttle the half mile to the venue and shuttled back for a night at the AmeriSports Bar in the Ameristar casino! Fantastic night! Great hotel!

“Best Value For Location”

For the price you can't beat this hotel if you want walking distance to a casino. In fact this one is directly connected to the Ameristar through the atrium. Was very convenient just off of the Interstate and was nice and quiet.

“Overall, pleased.”

Stayed here one night while driving back to Illinois from South Dakota. The staff were courteous and efficient and the rooms clean and comfortable, pretty much what we were looking for in a one night stay. The hotel is connected to a casino which has 3 or 4 places to eat for families including a sports bar, buffet, and steak house along with some sort of cafe. The pool is pretty much for kids only and was packed while we were there. I saw a pool guy checking whatever it is they check (bacteria count?) twice during the hour I brought the kids down. Breakfast is included with enough options for everyone.

“Great place for a short holiday.”

We found the hotel quite good for our needs. The staff was great, and there was free hotel van service all weekend when we were there. They would bring us to the Old Market, and then we would call for them to pick us up when we were done. My only complaint would be the toilet in the bathroom. It appeared to be the appropriate height for a child! The height of it was just about to my knee - and I am 5/2"!!!! That would be the only negative thing I could mention, otherwise, all was good!!!

“Would stay again”

Was able to save some money using Expedia, instead of the hotel's website. Room was average, as was expected.

“Nice Hotel, Lousy Hot Breakfast”

The hotel was very clean and accomodating. The only problem we had with the hotel was the free hot breakfast. Most of the hot food was very undesirable.

“Ok, but not great”

The hotel recently underwent some remodeling, but it doesn't extend too far past the lobby. The bathroom was supposedly recently remodeled, but lacks any sort of fan and space. Our wallpaper in our room was bubbling off the walls, which wasn't comforting. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet, despite a few kids running in the hallway. The room had a window air conditioner unit, but never felt cold enough. There's a unit on the wall for Central AC - which only made us long for it more. Overall, it was worth the price - but not fantastic.

“Rooms need some work - moisture/mold issues”

Room (on third floor) smelled like mold and felt very humid. Bathroom door was warped/curved over an inch from the doorknob to the top of the door from moisture so it wouldn't close without extra effort. Carpet felt moist in the room too.

“Not what signed up for”

While the hotel overall was fine, I was very unhappy to find out that upon arrival my reservation, which was for 2 double beds, had been switched to a single King Bed due to overbooking. I was told that there was not anything else available, and that if I desired, there was a pullout couch in the room. Later, while leaving the hotel for dinner, I overheard a gentleman checking in WITHOUT A RESERVATION book a room with 2 double beds. Ouch. Will not being staying here again.
