Pros: quiet and clean
We stayed in this hotel when we traveled to Blair, Nebraska for a wedding. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet and reasonably priced. Loved Penny's diner for check in and breakfast, Food and service was great. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a nice comfortable room without having to pay for a lot of extras. Close to Subway and McDonalds. Not a hotel where you would spend all day for several days as there is not anything to do.

Very clean.Posted Sep 6, 2013
The room was very clean. We liked getting credit at the Diner next door better than the usual breakfast bar.

Convenient stay off the I-29Posted Jul 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room we stayed in was nice and clean. Everything functioned ok. A nice flat screen TV with a good choice of channel. To check in, go to the diner next door. They give you a voucher which can either be used for supper or breakfast. I thought that was good compared to some of the lousy continental breakfasts that I've had in some other motels.

Travelling through the MidwestPosted Jul 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
I stayed in 5 hotels on this trip and this hotel by far was the least comfortable. I really didn't have very many choices in this small town so it was the better of the two. There is no front desk- you have to register at the diner. The room was dated and the bed not as comfortable as a comparable hotel like Americinn. The only good thing was the diner had fantastic breakfast, which came with the room. The location was good, a little far from the downtown and it's conveniences but right off the interstate. I wouldn't stay there again.

Pros: Convenience to our route.
Location: It is convenient to the Loess Hills Scenic Byway.
We wanted to travel the Loess Hills scenic drive, so this hotel was a good choice. The room was very basic, no little extras (shampoo, notepads, etc). Check-in was at the neighboring Penney's retro-style dinner, which also provided good local food and a voucher for free breakfast. Seemed expensive for what we got, but maybe that's because there isn't much else around.

Food was great at the dinerPosted Jun 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Was a good buy for the money. Little different checking in at the diner, but the room and stay were great.

Great Hotel!Posted May 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was a convenient stay on our way to South Dakota from Illinois. It was 1/2 way to our destination. The room was clean and comfortable and the food at the diner was tasty! Stayed on the way out and on the way back.

Check-in at the Diner Next DoorPosted Mar 21, 2013
Several other reviews mentioned Penny's Diner... they didn't mention that you actually have to check in at the diner. The youngster who checked me in didn't even ask for ID. Overall, the hotel was clean, but a little odd.
