“A real gem”

We were welcomed cordially. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Even though we were close to the pool, our room was quiet and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

“Continental Breakfast”

The breakfast itself was fine, but the area contained too few tables for the size of the hotel, it was always crowded.

Very clean, great location, value priced. Good hot breakfast, the biscuits were freshly baked and very good! Staff were friendly and accomodating. Great choice when all you need is a low-cost, safe and clean place to spend the night.

“Best deal we've had in a long time”

The hotel was clean and delightful. There were fresh cookies, hot dogs, chips and coffee available upon check in.

“Great Place”

The staff was very friendly. Great location. No complaints. We stayed at the end by the saloon, but we did not hear anything from them while we were there. Highly recommend this location.

“Surprising little gem”

I have stayed in Council Bluffs many times but never thought to stay at the Western Inn until I got a good deal through Expedia. It doesn't look like much from the outside - though not run down at all. The location is behind a Dairy Queen/Gas Station and less than a 1/2 mile to the mall. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. They had flat screen tv's. The bathroom shower and toilet had been recently redone, but the counter tops were still older. The bedspreads were the quilted kind that I don't really like (prefer the fluffy comforters/duvet covers). The hotel staff was friendly and helpful - I lost a button on my jeans and they had a safety pin. The free breakfast was simple but good (biscuits, gravy, cereal, danish). No microwaves in the room but guests can use the microwave in the breakfast area. Free wi-fi and a good TV channel selection. All-in-all a great value for the price.

Everyone was very friendly. The hotel was very clean. Our room was comfortable. I had made a special request and I was pleased to see they meet my needs. The snacks and breakfast were very appetizing.

“diamond in the rough”

We were looking for a clean inexpensive hotel and were more than satisfied. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The hotel is older but clean and well maintained with current updates. The pool was clean and well maintained for our children to swim in. Our room had a flat screen TV and was clean. They provided chocolate chip cookies and hotdogs in the evening which was an added treat. The continental breakfast was good and well stocked. We felt it was easy to access off the interstate and would highly recommend this hotel for any traveler.

“Good value.”

The Western Inn gave me exactly what I was hoping for: a decent room for a reasonable price. The staff was very nice. The breakfast was well above average. The only negative point: the walls seemed a bit thin. But I would definitely stay there again.

“Clean and affordable.”

This hotel was clean and very reasonably priced. It was right off of the interstate and near some shopping, pretty easy to navigate. The room did not have any frills, but when we got in, around 8 in the evening, they had chicken sandwiches available to guests, no charge. Breakfast was good, biscuits and gravy, cereal, pastries, groats (steel cut oats), cereal, and bagels. I think that there were hot dogs at dinner time, but I was not there to see that. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Not the Ritz, but not a dump, either!
