Good enough for the money.

We were on the lower floor and the walking on the room above us was quite noisy. Fresh cookies was a nice perk at suppertime. Due to early checkout we couldn't use the breakfast.

Nice hotel. Close to grocery store, gas station

Posted Mar 4, 2015
Pros: The free cookies, apples, candies, and hot dogs.
Cons: They should stop using keys, and they should use cards as the key. Also, they should add more things to the free breakfast, like pencakes or waffles.
Location: As I had mentioned, the hotel is very close to a big grocery store, gas stations, fast food restaurants, and a mall.
The people at the front desk were very welcoming and professional. Toward the evening, they had hot dogs and cookies for the guests. Also, at the entrance, there is a computer where the guests can check their emails and do other types of research. Further, the TVs are all flat screen. In addition, there is also a swimming pool. Lastly, they provide the guests with breakfast too.

Great find for the price.

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Breakfast, location, evening snacks and price.
Cons: New mattresses, bedding and curtains and in a perfect world a hot tub in the pool area!
Location: The Mall of Bluffs, bowling, restaurants , highway 80
The hotel was easy to find. We had called ahead and asked several questions because the photos on Expedia did not match the photos on their website. I would say they are about halfway through the remodel. The bed itself was very hard. The sheets and blanket were comfy but the bedspread was straight out of the 80's.We were surprised by how many cable channels we had! Each night we were welcomed with a hotdog bar and fresh baked cookies. Breakfast was available every morning. The biscuits and gravy were wonderful and we loved the steel cut oatmeal with toppings. Cereal, bagels, pastries, coffee and juice are also available. There is also an indoor pool. The pictures showed a sauna but there isn't one. Our room overlooked the train tracks but we only heard it once.......at 2am. It is located close to the Mall of the Bluffs, a bowling alley, several restaurants and right off highway 80. All in all we would book it again since it was a great value for the price and to have free breakfast every morning was wonderful!

Clean, comfortable, great included breakfast

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Good breakfast, free parking, good staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. Room rate good for area.
Stayed total of 3 nights. Room clean, bed really comfortable. Included breakfast was much better than most; with good variety of offerings, some hot. Plenty of free parking and location is close to grocery store and a number of restaurants. Easy access to freeway also. Hotel provides fresh baked cookies daily and may even have afternoon/evening snacks like hot dogs (FREE). Front desk staff very helpful and friendly.

Nice hotel for family

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Cons: We wish the pool was heated as it was really cold swimming.
Location: HyVee is just right across the interstate, gas stations all around, and there are restaurants in the parking lot.
This was our second time staying here at this hotel. Staff is very nice and helpful.

Nice clean place for the money

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: Inexpensive, free breakfast, clean.
Cons: The rooms could use some sprucing up.
This is the 2nd time I've stayed here. For an overnight stay, this is a reasonably priced clean place. The fan on my unit screamed whenever it came on and woke me up multiple times but again, it was a reasonably priced room, it was clean and I will stay there again.

Very Comfortable, Friendly Hotel!

Posted Jan 7, 2015
Pros: The accommodations were great; the staff friendly, courteous, and always there to help. They allow pets to stay there as well. I brought my dog!
Cons: Can't think of a thing.
Location: The hotel is kind of hidden and was a little hard for me to find. I did not make use of the other things around the hotel.
This was the first time I was at the Western Inn. I really enjoyed my stay there. The hotel is well kept up. Everything seemed to be in order. The staff was wonderful! They were friendly, nice, and very helpful. This is the first hotel I have been in for a long time that had I TV that worked properly--and easy--right from the start. I pressed the button, the TV came right on. They had a nice list of all the stations and they all worked immediately. What a relief from a busy day!. The morning breakfast was excellent--great food, pleasant room. They also had free hot dogs at the end of the day. Will be coming to Council Bluffs again next August and I am going to book the Western Inn early so that I am sure to get a reservation there.
