Unhelpful staff

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Saying one price then different price when you get there. Got mixed up on the dates and they couldn't and wouldn't compromise. When you ring to make changes they say they can help you and when you get over there they say you were talking to There other hotel in France. No curtains up on windows and no towels in bathrooms. You will be lucky to get one electricity socket working. :(

Excellent value for money and within easy walk of

Posted Nov 15, 2014
Basic room with comfortable bed, kettle, tv, desk & wardrobe. Gallons of piping hot water for bath or shower. Only downside is the lack of sockets. Only one, so can't watch tv and charge phone. Breakfast was grand and great value at £4.95 for all you could eat. Please note this is an american-style Motel: with the doors opening to the carpark. This might put some females travelling alone off, though I experienced no problems at all. Would stay here again.

More Like MOTEL not Hotel

Posted Oct 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is more like a motel than a hotel, there are two rows of back to back chelet style rooms on two floors, The biggest problem is the walls are wafer thin, you can hear everything that is said and done in the room next door resonably clearly, This isnt helped by a McDonalds being directly behind one row of chalets with the drive thru tannoy going from 6am until after midnight. Over the weekend it got very noisy with youngsters coming back from clubs etc at around midnight and partying and blasting loud music for hours through the complex. The rooms are small with just a bathroom, bed, chair and small workspace with a tv on it. The room we had was reasonably clean although the bathroom floor and tiles could do with being cleaned properly. No shower mat is provided in the room although are available from the reception. During the week it is a bit quieter but is used by a lot of contractors who you can hear going to work from about 6am. The house keeping was pretty good with clean towels etc changed daily if required. Car parking is available although this is insecure and not monitered. If you want a good nights sleep this isnt the place to stay especially at weekends. Big Asda store and decent pub that does meals near by and another advantage here is that you are allowed to fetch take aways and other food to eat in your room as there is no provision for an evening meal here although breakfast is available.

It's cheap, and you get what you pay for.

I stayed for a week. On day one I reported that the steel shutter on the window was jammed shut, keeping the room perpetually dark. Nobody fixed it or apologised or offered an alternate room; it was still broken when I checked out. The McDonalds next door can be noisy, too. However, the hotel's cheap; the rooms have all the standard facilities and quite a bit of space. If better service is really important to you, there's a Holiday Inn across the road which costs 3x as much.

Nice but not to date

Posted Sep 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
I found my room was nice although decor was outdated. All of the light shades in my room were split or damaged. There was not enought plug sockets if my stay would have been for longer this would have been a struggle. The sink in the bathroom was cracked not very appealing at all. The kettle stand was being propped up by two cartons of milk and when my partner went to use the milk was almost burnt as the kettle stand fell down causing the kettle to fall. However the area and surroundings were good and the cost was good value i suppose you get what you pay for here i wouldn't pay more than £37.50 though I'd probably pay less!

Good value for money

Cheaper than mainstream hotels, less depressing than most cheap hotels. The rooms have basic facilities (desk, bathroom, wardrobe, TV, kettle &c) and a reasonable amount of space. The bed is comfortable and the wifi is free. What more could you ask for? Of course, at the Holiday Inn across the road you can pay 3x as much for a room with slightly softer carpet and slightly nicer-looking soft furnishings... and they'll try to charge you for wifi.
