“Great place to stay and catch a Red's game”
I checked into the Courtyard by Marriot in Covington after a 5-hour drive, and was grateful to be met with competent kindness. Everything was clean and well-kept. The hotel was kept nicely air conditioned, and I was able to get my room positively frigid -- important because it was 98 degrees with astronomical humidity. Front desk was terrific, both at check-in and in answering my questions about transportation, local addresses, and food delivery. Housekeeping was pleasantly unintrusive and generous with extra towels.
The hotel has a great location. It's close to shopping on Mainstrasse and the Riverfront development, and is in very close proximity to Skyline and Gold Star chili places, and only a short drive from Dixie Chili. There is a shuttle to downtown Cincinnati that stops right in front of the hotel and delivered me within 3 blocks of Great American Ballpark. As I was a woman traveling alone, I appreciated the safety.
I didn't take advantage of the breakfast in the lobby (which smelled good), but their little store carried Ben and Jerry's. Score!
