Bad Experience with this Embassy suite

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: Location, close to the reds stadium.
Cons: Have better and enough snacks with their nightly reception.
Main bed was fine, but the couch pull out bed loked like it had old linen on it, was very uncomfortable, and the breakfast buffet should have been renamed cold buffet instead of hot buffet. Eggs, pancakes, hash browns, and bacon were all cold. I will not stay there again. The pool was almost as hot as the hot tub.

The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. Indoor pool was a little hot, but the kids enjoyed it.

Nice view of the Ohio River. Room needs updated.

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: Location, close to Cincinnati but not in the "thick" of the downtown traffic.
Cons: Rooms need updated.
Location: Close to Cincinnati and Newport. Loads of things to do and places to eat.
Parking was a challenge, and a bit pricey. Check in was smooth and easy. Room was comfortable but in need of updating.

Great hotel location Great American/US Bank Arena

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Cons: The hotels fountain runs 24/7, if you're a light sleeper it may keep you up. All rooms have interior corridors that overlook the fountain.
Location: Covington attractions are sparse with a small downtown area. Head to Newport on the Levee or Cincy.
The hotel offers all the amenities you need for a perfect stay to enjoy downtown Cincinnati. Tips - 1. Parking - park in the lot across the street (it's $12 overnight instead of $22 at the hotel). 2. Transportation - getting to downtown Cincy is easy, take the trolley for $1 it runs every 20 minutes through Covington, Newport and downtown Cincy. 3. Happy Hour - Embassy Suites is known for it's happy hour running from 5:30p-7:30p nightly. Free unlimited drinks and snacks, beer wine and liquor available. 4. Breakfast - they offer a full breakfast buffet, but also cook to order omelets.

Nice view if you get a room facing the River. Room

Posted Jun 11, 2014
even though my Hilton HHonors profile indicates no smoking, I was given a smoking room. The hotel was sold out but I still asked the front desk multiple times if they could switch my room. They were not able to. I spent a horrible night in a room that smells disgusting.I would never return to this hotel.

Pros: The person who greeted me on Saturday night was excellent and made me feel like I stayed there every week. This is my third visit over a one year.

Very close to Cincy ballparks.

Posted May 17, 2014
Pros: Close to attractions.
Cons: Bathroom design is awkward. Cost of parking and internet is high.
Location: Great American Ball Park, Newport Aquarium, Big Boy
Great place to stay if you are going to a ballgame. You can walk across Roebling bridge right next to the hotel, or walk along the river trail. Very close to Newport Aquarium too. Staff is very helpful if you have questions about getting around town. Internet and parking are extra, but great free breakfast.

Unique hotel right on the Ohio River

Posted May 13, 2014
Our stay at The Embassy was awesome! The staff is super friendly & eager to help with anything. They offer free drinks from their full bar in the evening and a full made to order breakfast buffet in the morning. They have a free shuttle service you can take if you want to visit places around town. Another neat thing was Emmy, their talking parrot who stays in the lobby. This hotel is unlike any other. I will definitely be staying here again when we're in the area!
