Very Pleasant Stay

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Easy to get to from the interstate. Breakfast was very nice. Lots to choose from and fresh.
Cons: The bed in our room could have used a new bed frame. It kind of creaked when you would roll over.
Location: We were there for a blues performer and the zoo. Just seemed like it was close to everything but not right in the middle of all the city bustle.
We stayed on an overnight trip. Hotel was very easy to find. Location turned out to be very nice. Room was clean and comfortable. The staff made you feel very welcomed. This is our 2nd trip of the summer staying in a Hampton Inn, we will make Hampton Inn our first choice for our future stays.

Disappointing trip

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Nice room.
Had a room booked through Expedia since the beginning of March, stayed there July 19th. Check in time says 3:00, we arrived around 3:15. We were told it would be a 'few minutes' while the room was cleaned and to wait in the lobby. Sat there for about two hours watching everyone else get helped, including people who came in after us and had the same type of room. We drove 5 hours from Michigan for a concert to celebrate our anniversary. Missed our dinner reservations and missed half the concert. Kind of ruined the trip.

Just so so

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Staff
Cons: Beds and cooling units
Location: Great American ball park, Paul Brown stadium, Museum center, Underground Railroad Museum, Findlay Market, and Newport aquarium.
Beds were very worn and uncomfortable. The hotel was extremely crowded and parking was an issue. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was easy to get to.

Would Stay Again

Posted Jul 6, 2014
My friends and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend gateway. We loved how it was very close to the Newport Aqauarium and the Cincinnati Zoo. Hotel staff was very friendly. The air in the was great at first but throughout the night wasn't working as well. Loved the spacious bathroom in the room. Beds weren't as comfortable as we would have liked. The breakfast was good but the wait and lines for the breakfast was very long and could have been better managed. Overall the hotel was clean and would stay there again.

A pleasant stay

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Room was clean, comfortable and the hotel was close to local area attractions
Cons: A little on the expensive side
Location: Reds Stadium, concert venues, restaurants and bars in the Covington, Newport and downtown Cinci areas.
We stayed in the Cincinnati area for a concert at The Southgate house, and while this hotel was on the expensive side, we really enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We mentioned going to a concert and possibly needing a cab. They made arrangements for us immediately and before we knew it we were on our way to the show. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Also, even though the room was close to the elevator door, we didn't have any problem with noise. In terms of location, this hotel is in an excellent spot. It is a short drive from all the Bars/Restaurants in Covington and Newport. We had a great breakfast at The Keystone bar and grill the morning after our stay. And of course it is right across the river from Great American Ballpark. All in all it was a great stay, and I would book there again in the future.

Nice hotel but not close walk to GAB

Posted Jun 22, 2014
Great stay. Area is a little shady but there was a security guard outside. It is next to 3 liquor stores. Not close enough to walk to ball park without a hike. You can take the trolley for $1.00. Breakfast was OK but busy with the hotel being full of Red/Blue Jay fans.
