“Not Expecting Much but Still Disappointed”
I wasn't expecting too much given the price that I paid for the hotel room, we were just looking for a decent room to sleep in after a fun night out in Cincinnati. However, we got into the room and it was hotter than it was outside, which was in the 90's. We turned the AC unit on high cool and left for dinner. Three hours later we returned to find the room just as hot as it was when we left. I went to the desk and spoke to the man at the desk who said he would come look at it to see if we set it correctly. When he came to the room he told us to go out and enjoy the night and to give it more time and that the three hours that we were gone at dinner wasn't long enough. So we got ready, while sweating, and returned six hours later to find the room still sweltering. I returned to the desk and this time a woman was there who was more helpful than the man that was there earlier and gave us five different room keys to find a room that actually had working AC. We finally found a cool room on our fourth try, and she switched us to that room without any problems. I will not return to this hotel in the future.
“Room smelled bad”
Once I got to the room, it smelled like old stale cigarettes even though it was a non-smoking room. The staff was somewhat friendly, but the one older gentleman just stared at me instead of answering my question about restaurants in the area. The wi-fi did work great but there was a very small tv channel selection (like only 25 channels). Since I was on a business trip it wasn't too bad just to spend the night there. If I would have been vacationing or with my family I would have asked for my money back and gone somewhere else. The hotel had an overall 'not clean' feeling. Overall, I was not pleased with this hotel.
“Don't stay here.”
Everything is old and worn out and doesn't appear clean. There was a hair in our sheets and the light bulbs didn't even work. And, I'm pretty sure there was black mold under the wall paper by the air conditioner. We actually didn't even end up staying the night. We paid for a second hotel just so we could feel clean.
