Small Room, but DecentPosted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: Contemporary design, EXCELLENT shower, unique bathroom (toilet and shower in separate rooms) and convenient location right off of the interstate.
Cons: Their internet service needs drastic improvement. The hotel was understaffed and smelled very strongly of chlorine. The rooms were very small.
Location: Plenty of places to eat nearby. It's only about 15 minutes from Newport and about 20 from Cincinnati. The horse track is in the hotel's back yard.
I booked this place because it looked like a very nice suite - not far from Cincinnati and Newport. There were plenty of other hotels nearby and - while this one was fine - it wasn't anything special. I have stayed in other Springhill Suites hotels before and they were all much better. Part of me wonders if this hotel used to be something else before Springhill bought it. I will probably stay somewhere else next time.

Overnight Travel StayPosted Mar 31, 2014
My wife and I were traveling from Nashville home to Cleveland, and decided to break the trip in half. We arrived pretty late in the evening (actually around 9:30), and upon stating that I wish we could have gotten in early, so we could explore Florence a little, the front desk employee offered to give us a late check-out. I said of course, and thanked her. The room was beautiful, but more importantly, it was very functional. The layout was brilliant, and the use of furniture was very well thought out. Our room was and A+ in every way. The bathroom was very clean, as was everything. I loved the high tech set-up of the room. The buffet breakfast was a great compliment to the hotel. Didn't get to check out the indoor pool or work-out room, but will on our next visit. Check-out was easy. We will definitely stay again on our next trip down. Best 3 star hotel I've ever stayed in. Thank you for such a high standard, and welcoming environment.

Great hotel next to Turfway ParkPosted Mar 26, 2014
In town to visit Turfway Park, wanted something close. Was very pleased to find all we had to do was walk across the parking lot to get to track. Plus hotel was very clean, and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again next time.

Pros: The color's of the lobby, the carpet, and the room were interesting.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind when it comes to improvement.
Location: There was a Target and Dick's right next door with some restaurants next door also.
We got to the hotel a hour before checkin and they let us still check in. The staff was friendly and the colors were interesting instead of boring. The place was clean so was the room.

Very nice clean and safe hotelPosted Dec 19, 2013
Pros: The decor
Cons: The pool could be heated a tad bit more. The water was cold.
Location: The mall, theaters and many outlet shopping areas were all within 5-10minutes away. There was a Horse track with live racing in walking distance.
My stay was two nights. Upon my arrival from a 600 mile drive I checked into my room. Before I made it to the elevator I was drawn in my the aroma of the continential breakfast. There were eggs, yogurt, sauage, rolls, juices, waffles and so much more. It was so delicious. The staff was great and very helpful. The facility was clean to the nines and the rooms ,oh so very relaxing. There was a pool area with a hot tub/jacuzzi that was very clean with soothing jets. The whole experience I will rate a 10 plus. I recommend this hotel thumbs up and I will come back.

Snowed In!Posted Dec 9, 2013
Pros: Cleanliness and Staff.
Cons: Add food network to the cable lin-up.
Location: PLENTY of restaurants and shopping, within walking distance in a snow storm ;-)
This hotel has a wonderful understanding staff. I was travelling between Columbus and Nashville when I had to stop due to frightening weather conditions. Cars abandoned on the interstate. Thankfully, a friend and I had stayed here before prior to flying to Hawaii and I knew that at least this hotel would be clean. After a really stressful drive it was refreshing to stay in a moderately priced hotel by the airport, with a genuinely concerned staff. :-)
