Excellent value and location can't be beat!

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: Price and the value received for it, plus the location is perfect; walking distance to local sites and a bridge walk to Cincinnati!
Cons: Softer bath towels.
Location: Being on the river, the hotel is within walking distance to sites and dining in Kentucky and just a short walk over the bridge to downtown Cincinnati.
This is probably not considered a "high-end" hotel, but the location (right on the river, across from Cincinnati) beats those "high end" hotels, plus the rooms and amenities are on par with their pricier competitors. In my book, a mini fridge and bathroom fan are bare essentials when travelling and many of the higher priced hotels do not have these as "standard" features, which is odd. For price value and the "essentials," I'll stick with the Travelodge when I'm in the area!

Close to everything, very convenient

Posted Feb 21, 2015
Pros: Close to everything, quiet...
Cons: The Breakfast and vending machines
Location: Right across from the street from the levee and shuttle bus was able to bring me into Covington and downtown Cincinnati.
I stayed in this place for 6 nights in February, it's not a bad hotel, it done the job. My room was very comfortable, and clean the only thing I wish they could improve on is the breakfast in the morning, and please get bottles of water added to your vending machines ( for people who don't drink soda). If I was to come back I would stay here again as its close to everything. I was happy with everything else.

Walking distance from aquiarium

Posted Feb 6, 2015
Pros: Well stocked room, parking close, price was key, walking distance, quick check in, quiet, flat screen cable.
Cons: Up dated, new bed comforters. Hallway need deoterizing.
Location: Aquiarium, bowling, shops, dinning, casino across river.
Work party at axis bowling, stayed one night, booked online, quick check in, walked to bowling 6 at night and walk back at 12:30 a.m. Very safe. No need for a cab. Did not eat breakfast didn't even go anywhere in the hotel but lobby and room. Not updated but was okay with us. Busy but was a Saturday night and was quiet in hallway and room. Bridge on ramp right outside our window and we never heard a thing. Stayed at comfort suites last party, more money had to get a cab and use trolley. Will be staying at travelogue for next party.

Pleasant surprise for the money (clean)

Posted Jan 31, 2015
Pros: Price, TV with USB and close entertainment/dining and very clean
Cons: Bed, pillows
Location: Newport Aquarium, mall and DEWEY'S pizza!
I live right across the river from this hotel. We stayed here the other night "just for fun", we wanted a night out- only in... the problem was it was right before pay day and I didn't have any spending money. I was very worried about staying in a 'cheap' hotel (read: ICKY). First we drove there to survey the surroundings and I went in to see if rooms were available THEN my fiancé went back in and had an employee show us a room to make sure clean meant CLEAN. The employee was super pleasant throughout! Our room had a fridge, microwave and the TV was new enough to have USB, BONUS! The only downside was the bed was not great and there were only two kinda flat pillows, but for the PRICE I was totally fine with that (they did give us a third when we asked) It was a fun stay within walking distance to the Newport Aquarium/mall, we walked to Dewey's for a first rate pizza pie to nosh in our room. I wish I had gotten the staff names to thank them here, too! We'll be back very soon, for sure.

Smelled like dope in the hallway of the second floor, people down the hall were loud all night, room was so hot even with the heat turned down, but for the price it was ok, seen as how we just slept there & got up early the next morning, took showeres & left!

Close to Cinci and Budget friendly.

We have stayed here several times when we attend sporting events in Cincinnati. Although the hotel is very basic and well used, we have found the rooms to be very clean, the staff very helpful and the location perfect to attend events in Cincinnati or in Newport on the levy. You can walk to either location. Perfect for a couple just looking for an overnight stay with few frills.
