“New Hotel”

New hotel!!!! When I stayed there it was 3 weeks old. Had new hotel smell. Nice interior decorations. Good breakfast.

Brand new hotel. It was right off the NYS Thruway. We will probably book it again if its available next year. Only down size was the sound insulation could have been better. I didn't hear anything but my husband heard the next room during the middle of the night.

“Great staff, clean hotel”

The hotel seems to be very new. The room was very clean, everything worked like it should have. The staff was great. They were very helpfull and friendly, great recomendation on a local restaraunt for dinner. The pool area is clean too. The floor is very slippery when wet. The hot tub was great after a day on the slopes.

“Convenient location”

The location of the hotel was excellent. We did not mind that it was right on the expressway. It was also 30 minutes away from the train station in Hudson. The room was only cleaned twice during our week long stay and we had to seek out housekeeping for clean towels, etc. We would, however, stay there again.

The hotel seemed to be new, friendly and helpful staff. Definitely recommend the hotel. Only inconvenience is that it not near most destinations. Great for an overnight stop if you are travelling upstate, on your way somewhere else.

“The place is ok enough, just lacking in many ways”

The hotel is pretty new. It's clean and you won't get mugged. All good right? Here's the flaws: My room, and each of the rooms of my business partners (we had 3 total) had an incessant loud buzzing that actually vibrated the beds. You could hear it throughout the room but it was worst once you laid your head on the pillow where the sound amplified in ear. Very distracting. I had to go to sleep with headphones on playing music or a movie from my iPad. Breakfast was OK but not great. The pancake machine breaks often and the resultant food is rubbery. The hard boiled eggs were stale - not rotten - just chewy in a way that I've never experienced. Yuck. It's one of the few hotels in the area so you might be stuck with it and it's better than other options (drive 9W and you'll find a few that you'll crack jokes about on the way home). On a plus side, the City of Hudson is really cute and there's some great eats.

“No Hot Water - No Satisfaction - Don't Stay Here !!”

From soon after we checked in we realized there was no hot water in the room. I notified the front desk. I was told they were aware of the problem and were looking in to it. Later in the evening, still no hot water, notified the desk again. A maintainance man came to the room about 10 pm and said the problem was downstairs and they would fix it. The manager was gone by now. In the morning, no hot water, notified the desk, manager unavailable. Each time I went to the front desk, other guests were there complaining about no hot water. Still no hot water when I checked out at 9 am. After checkout, I notified Holiday Inn Express corporate via email and they responded "We appreciate your comments and feedback".
