“Comfotable and home feeling”
We loved this hotel, the staff was friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was awesome! One thing to remember is this is not a resort. I do recommend this hotel but I think next time we will stay at a resort as it was kind of pricey to eat out every meal and purchase all snacks and beverages!
“GREAT HOTEL”
Our favorite hotel. Clean, very friendly staff and a great complimentary breakfast buffet. Located very close to town. Easy walking to shopping and dining. However, this is a low amenity hotel. No weight room or massage, and a limited restaurant. Clean room, waterfront, and convenient.
“Cozumels Best in Town Hotel”
Excellent Location (downtown), clean, and includes full breakfast. Only drawbacks are the pool: too small and too cold, and it is not on the ocean. My wife and I have stayed here our last 3 trips to Cozumel and plan on staying again.
“Was skeptical after reading other reviews, but they were accurate, C.M. is excellent”
We were very pleased with Casa Mexicana and are looking forward to our next trip to Cozumel. The hotel was clean and the staff were unfailingly helpful. The breakfast was EXCELLENT.
“Great Hotel”
Can't miss out on the awesome breakfast included...right across street from ocean!
“Relaxing Stay at Casa Mexicana 4/5-4/10”
My husband & I stayed at Casa Mexicana for 5 nights. We arrived at noon, were able to immediately check-in & were offered moist towels to refresh us after our travel day. The hotel is spotless & nicely decorated. The breakfast buffet was good & varied daily. We had a city view room (we could also see the water) with balcony. There was construction next door (in the evenings) & music from Senor Frogs/Carlos & Charlies was loud, but we closed the sliding door at night & the noise didn't bother us. The housekeeping staff did a great job - they made animals, bows, etc. out of extra bath towels and left candy - a nice touch. The front desk & concierge were knowledgeable & very willing to help. The pool is shaded & shallow - more for cooling off than swimming. We enjoyed sitting out in the evening & watching the street activity and sunset. The hotel location is convenient to shops, restaurants & taxis. Our only (minor) complaint was that our room's safebox was inoperable. However, we were able to use the hotel safebox during our stay. Hotel clientele varied (leisure & business). There is a business center with Internet access. A scuba shop & dock are close by. If you are looking for a resort with lots of activity, this isn't the place. However, if you are looking for a quiet, clean, well-run, convenient hotel, Casa Mexicana fits the bill. It exceeded our expectations.
“Forget About Resorts, This Is The Real Mexico”
Hotel Casa Mexicana is the perfect hotel to stay at in Cozumel. It is located right down town on the waterfront, close to most of the worthwhile restaurants and to the town plaza. The breakfast buffet is delicious, not to mention the staff is extremely helpful and attentive. The pool is small, but who needs a pool when you've got the Caribbean Ocean at your fingertips. The entire hotel is immaculate and there is always someone on staff mopping up the floors (even if it looks clean already). The internet access was also a nice perk (very nice computers). The room service has excellent food if you want the convenience of staying in to dine. The ocean view rooms are very spacious with bathtub/showers and huge balconies that you could throw a party on. All in all, this hotel is a home away from home. We even started referring to it as home by the end of the week.
“Cleanest hotel on the island w/ great breakfast”
This is our 4th visit to Casa Mexicana and will stay here again on our next trip to Cozumel; why stay anywhere else! The included breakfast on the open air dining patio is very good with many options, is convenient with excellent service and is a relaxing way to begin the day. Casa Mexicana is a short walk to everything in the city and within a 5 minute walk to world class scuba diving with Dive Paradise. On arrival, it is simple to purchase the van transportation fare to the hotel at the airport kiosk ($10 US) rather than the more expensive "worry free" pay in advance option offered on the web.
“Very nice, convenient”
Casa Mexicana is centrally located with nice rooms at a reasonable price. The breakfast buffet was very good with a variety of fruits, eggs, cereals, breads, juices, side dishes, etc. For divers it is close to a dive pier where boats can conveniently pick you up. It is not good for those who may want to shore dive from a hotel. The ocean views are very nice, garden views are not exactly of gardens but backyards of neighboring structures - but there is a cost savings. It is on the main street so there is some noise on the street/ocean side but not bad.
“Casa Mexicana”
A great location and the breakfasts were great. They cleaned the main lobby floors daily around the pool. The view was great especially after the cruise ships leave.
