Lion fish sighting in front of hotel

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Very acommodating staff.
Cons: An automatic upgrade to the ocean view side of the hotel , if vacancies are available. My room faced the jungle side ( interior side) of the island.
Location: Hotel is some what isolated, nothing nearby.
Only location with a Lion fish sighting while snorkeling just in front of hotel . Dived and snorkeled other reefs, and never saw a Lion fish anywhere else. Beautiful hotel and staff very pleasant, a little off the beaten path, so ,very quiet compared to the hotels on the main strip. They have a dive shop on the grounds that can take you out and bring you back. The only drawback that I noticed is that some restaurants also serve Lion fish ( meal ). Why would you deplete what people from all over the world come to see ?

Nice hotel in convenient Zona Norte

Food was good, service decent. Very clean overall. Disappointed that hot tub and pool bar wear out of service. Not my favorite in Cozumel but a good value all the same.

Pros: Snorkel right off beach... way to easy to get a lounge , pool all to yourself, no young crying kids....
Cons: OPEN the outside bars, swim up bar, ect...., your losing big $$$$$
Stayed at the C/P , about 6/7 times nice staff, room, location, not noisy, good b/fest, ect....

Great hotel away from the cruise ship traffic

Posted Apr 23, 2014
The Coral Princess was great. Good clean rooms. Snorkeling right off the pool / patio area. Pepe's Dive operation is on premises.... which makes everything easy. We took our youngest down for his checkout dives. Pepe's was accommodating and professional.... really liked their staff. Pool Bar service is attentive and friendly... as is the restaurant staff (pretty much the same guys). Easy cab ride into town. I've been to Cozumel a number of times now. Always stayed down south at some of the bigger places..... Coral Princess is my spot from now on.

Nice hotel and location. Great for families.

Nice, well established hotel north of town. Great snorkeling right out back. My 9 year old spent about 80% of his time in the water looking at all the fish and critters within 30 yards of the dock. Staff was great. Attentive but did not hover. Next year we plan on diving with Pepe's. We couldn't this year because my son is not quite old enough. We did do an afternoon snorkel trip with them though. Many families there but it was not a zoo. Plenty of kids for play mates. We'll be back.

Great for snorkelling! No beach.

Stayed one day only. Close to ferry terminal where we arrived from Playa del Carmen. My daughter rated hotel best ever for its location for snorkelling right in front of hotel. Also got initial free lesson in scuba diving in the pool. Highly recommend it for diving and snorkelling.

Quiet, Clean Hotel on the Barrier Reef

Posted Mar 21, 2014
Pros: We loved the friendly staff, cleanliness, quietness, and closeness to the ocean.
Cons: You need to make it clear that a room with 2 beds does not have a frig but one with a king bed does.
Location: We enjoyed swimming, snorkeling, diving, Myan ruins, great beaches, animal encounters, shopping, eating out, and trips to the mainland.
Thanks to previous reviewers who said that rooms were clean with comfortable beds and a friendly staff, we chose Coral Princess and we're so glad we did. It's a quiet hotel, very few kids, which is perfect for us since we're not looking for exciting night life. The staff is absolutely the best we've ever encountered and we've vacationed on a lot of islands and on Cozumel multiple times. Anything we mentioned or asked for, they jumped to care for. I recommend that you have the hotel staff make all arrangements for day trips and car rentals, etc once you're there. They were able to get us much more included than we could for the same price online ahead of time. For example, for less than the price that I'd almost pre-booked swimming with the dolphins online, they got us a package that included swimming with the dolphins, feeding the manatees, attending a sea lion show, the best lunch on the island, snorkeling on the barrier reef and entrance to Chankanaab Park, which itself costs a lot if purchased separately. I also recommend taking along your snorkel gear if you have it, because the hotel is a few feet from the reef and a morning snorkel is a great way to start your day! After that, you're good and hungry for breakfast and the included breakfast is very good, especially the fresh, tropical fruit plate. We spent the extra $20 per night for an ocean view room and it certainly was worth it. We could see the ocean while laying in bed - absolutely gorgeous!
